Everything We Know About Koala Man

Koala Man big greg cheers sodas back on

Ahead of the highly-anticipated series' premiere, Koala Man has had quite the journey leading to its small-screen release. Koala Man was first announced when Hulu picked up an eight-episode order of the project in early 2021, following the title character's first appearance in the Australian comedy anthology Fresh Blood. With the help of the team behind fellow Hulu adult animated series Rick and Morty, as well as showrunner Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, creator Cusack developed the series in collaboration with Bento Box Entertainment and 20th Century Fox.

Alongside Cusack in the lead role, the cast for Koala Man is star-studded. Marking his first recurring role in an animated series, Jackman voices Big Greg, Kevin's boss and the most famous man in their town of Dapto. The show boasts voice performances by other beloved Australian actors, such as Sarah Snook (Succession) as Kevin's wife and Demi Lardner as Kevin's cunning and manipulative daughter, Alison.

The humorous premise promises another comedic success from Cusack, previously known for co-creating Smiling Friends for Adult Swim and YOLO: Crystal Fantasy. As the newest trailer for Koala Man indicates, the stakes will get increasingly high for the unlikely suburban self-proclaimed superhero as his quest to watch over his hometown leads to an adventure that becomes as treacherous as it is outlandish. The first eight episodes comprising season 1 of Koala Man will arrive on Hulu on Monday, January 9.
