Sony Pictures debuts a new Marvel movies releasing in 2024. While Venom: The Last Dance will finish Tom Hardy's trilogy, Kraven the Hunter will be coming out right after, bringing another iconic Spider-Man character to the big screen.

After over a year since releasing the first teaser for the movie, Sony Pictures has finally released the second Kraven the Hunter trailer, with the film set to open in theaters this December. The footage further explores the conflict between Sergei Kravinoff and his father, Nikolai Kravinoff. The latest Kraven the Hunter trailer also finally gives a full look at Alessandro Nivola's Aleksei Sytsevich fully transformed as Rhino. Check it out below.

Kraven the Hunter, despite having finished filming in 2022, was affected by the Hollywood strikes in 2023, which caused Sony Pictures to push it back to August 30, 2024. However, in May 2024, after getting a new release for the end of the year, producer Matt Tolmach revealed that the reason Kraven the Hunter's movie released was delayed from August to December was that, "we're excited about it and Christmas is the best release period there is, when you get people with time to go back to the movies over and over again."

What To Expect From Kraven The Hunter

Kraven the Hunter, which will be the villain's live-action debut, will explore how Sergei becomes the iconic antagonist while tackling his rise to power a little differently from the comics. The way Aleksei will likely factor into the story is that he is perhaps working for Nikolai, who may be responsible for how he becomes Rhino in Kraven the Hunter. Based on the footage alone, Kraven the Hunter is going full out with the action by leaning heavily into its R-rating.

Whether or not Kraven the Hunter will finally debut a new live-action Spider-Man is unclear, as the web-slinger is still nowhere to be seen in the preview footage. If anything, Kraven the Hunter will most likely be a self-contained story that goes fully into Sergei's family struggles while still tackling Spider-Man characters like Chameleon, Rhino, and even the Marvel villain the Foreigner. However, a recent Deadline report mentioned that Kraven the Hunter did undergo "some strategic reshoots which were effective," which could very well have been related to the Spider-Man situation.
