Conan O'Brien is officially returning to the scene of the Conan O'Brien has been a big name in the comedy business even before he became a late-night host in 1993. However, his time hosting Late Night with Conan O'Brien for 16 seasons cemented him as one of the best modern comedians.
Revealed in an exclusive by Deadline, Conan O'Brien will be returning to the Late Night franchise on June 11 as a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Meyers had previously teased O'Brien's return at an FYC event in Los Angeles, saying he "would love to have Conan back." O'Brien's appearance will mean that all three previous Late Night hosts, including David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon, will have guest-starred on Late Night with Seth Meyers. See Meyers' full quote below:
I’ve spoken to this person, and I think it will happen soon. They’ve expressed their desire to do it. There’s only been four of us that have done this on NBC and I’m lucky enough to have had Letterman on and I’ve been lucky enough to have had Fallon on. I would love to have Conan back.
What Conan O'Brien's Return To Late Night Means
O'Brien's Relationship With NBC Could Be Improved
O'Brien's return to the Late Night franchise could mean that his relationship with NBC is mended again. O'Brien had hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien for 16 years before time conflicts with NBC and The Jay Leno Show forced him to quit as the host and move on to hosting The Tonight Show instead. The move was controversial because, while O'Brien wanted to remain the host of Late Night, he did not think that NBC's insistence that the Late Night franchise move into a new time slot would be good for the show.

"I Was Curious How I Would Feel": Conan O'Brien Reacts To Returning To The Tonight Show 14 Years After Exit
Conan O'Brien discusses how he felt returning to The Tonight Show for the first time after he exited the popular late night series as the host.
It took more than 10 years after his departure for Conan to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, an NBC series, which already must have been strange after working in the same building for so many years. Now that he is returning to the original Late Night franchise, the news is even better. While O'Brien may not want to be a host anymore, his decision to return as a guest means that his relationship with NBC might have warmed slightly after their conflict 15 years ago.
Our Take On Conan O'Brien's Return To Late Night
O'Brien's Return Will Be Nostalgic
O'Brien's return to the Late Night franchise is great news. For one thing, O'Brien's appearance is great for nostalgia. O'Brien had made a major name for himself as a late-night talk show host, bringing unique and captivating humor to his show that created a cult following. Seeing him return to the original franchise, even though it is hosted by Meyers now, would be a great reminder of what the show used to be like.
O'Brien's return is also great news for his career. Lately, O'Brien has been having a great run with his successful podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend, as well as the season 3 renewal of Conan O'Brien Must Go. In addition, earlier this year, O'Brien was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. As a result, O'Brien's appearance on Late Night is just the tip of the iceberg for a very successful comedic year.
