Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory

Leanne Morgan's stand-up comedy is coming to life on the small screens through Leanne, a series inspired by the actor's best work, which is what makes it a very personal project. In the same press release, Morgan shared that Leanne goes back to the dream she had when she "started comedy 25 years ago" and sees it coming true in the form of a Netflix show.

In addition to having the comedian fully on board, the series is also backed by a strong creative team. In the same press release, Lorre revealed what drew him to the project, praising Morgan as "a unique comedic force." The show co-creator also pointed out how Leanne tackles a universal experience with comedic charm. Read his comments below:

If you’ve seen even 10 seconds of Leanne Morgan’s stand-up, then you know what a unique comedic force she is. The theme of starting over is universal, and I cannot think of anyone better to combine heart and comedy than Leanne. I knew I had to work with her, and I’m so excited to bring this story to Netflix.

Leanne dances along the lines of comedy, TV shows, and sitcoms, which makes it a particularly interesting project coming to Netflix this summer.
