When the battle against Dark Link begins, he will be in the top center of the chamber. The room is set up strategically so you have multiple ways to approach the enemy. There are three rock platforms and a long patch of grass. Two pots are located on opposite sides of the room; one on the ground and one on an elevated platform.

Normally, you will want to make a break for the grass. This will cut off Dark Link's line of sight, allowing you to sneak up behind him and summon the best echoes that you have at the time. By doing this a few times, players should be able to take down the boss.

Dark Link can be defeated more easily by using the power of Tri, as showcased by GosuNoob on YouTube. By holding X, you will aim in the direction you are facing and can release to bind your movement to a hit enemy. You can pull Dark Link's shield away and temporarily remove it. This will allow your echoes to freely damage him. The angle can be tricky at times, but he will quickly be defeated by using this method.

If you ever need to get some distance from Dark Link, tapping R will make Zelda spin. This is much faster than walking.
