Nintendo shared the news in a post on X confirming that the set will be available on September 1, 2024, with a video providing a look at what to expect from LEGO's first The Legend of Zelda product.
LEGO's The Great Deku Tree is currently available for pre-order.
The Great Deku Tree set is not currently part of a whole The Legend of Zelda range like the other Nintendo titles, and seems to be a one-off for now, falling under LEGO's 18+ "Sets for Adults" range, which are often more complex diorama-type sets, helmets, or wall art. That's not to say that if there's significant interest, LEGO might not choose to give The Legend of Zelda its own full range down the line, as it did with Sonic the Hedgehog following its 18+ Green Hill Zone set.

10 Game Series That Should Have Their Own Lego Sets
Fans of the toy bricks have already seen Super Mario and Minecraft with their own sets, but which video game franchises could be Lego-fied next?
What Is Included In LEGO's Legend Of Zelda Set?
And How Much Does It Cost?
As per the listing on the LEGO website, The Great Deku Tree set will be retailing at $299.99 and will include 2500 pieces. One of the reasons for this is likely because LEGO's The Great Deku Tree is actually a 2-in-1 set covering two different eras of the long-running adventure series, but compared to some other sets, this doesn't seem like the usual brick-to-dollar ratio and works out more expensive.
One build is based on the Great Deku Tree’s appearance in 1998's Ocarina Of Time and the other on the more recent Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom games, with the Ocarina of Time version measuring 35cm/13.5 inches wide by 33cm/13 inches tall, and the Breath of the Wild version coming in slightly wider but shorter measuring 39cm/15.5 inches wide and 31cm/12 inches tall. The set also comes with 4 minifigures to cover both eras, which are as follows:
- Young Link (Ocarina of Time)
- Link (Ocarina of Time)
- Link (Breath of the Wild)
- Zelda (Breath of The Wild)
Unfortunately, both versions of The Great Deku Tree can't be built simultaneously.
For LEGO collectors who are fans of The Legend of Zelda, this set is clearly a must-buy. Between the two depictions of The Great Deku Tree, there are plenty of details and hidden references to both games shown in the box art, and likely much more to be uncovered while constructing it.
