A creative fan of BOTW 2 to take inspiration from Majora's Mask, whose creepy moon continues to be one of the most iconic visuals in the series.
Ocarina of Time remains one of the most popular video games of all time, having been hugely influential for both the Legend of Zelda games and indeed gaming as a whole. Inspiring countless fan works over the years, it has unsurprisingly been inducted into the Video Game Hall of Fame. As a result, the game and its characters maintain a strong presence in pop culture, as does OoT's direct sequel, Majora's Mask. Continuing the Hero of Time's story, Majora's Mask contains many references to its predecessor, with a major plot point even revolving around the use of OoT's titular ocarina. As such, its gameplay sees Zelda's Link rewind time over and over again, in order to prevent the land of Termina from suffering a terrible fate.
Now one fan's new Ocarina of Time fan art has paid a brilliant homage to its sequel. Twitter colorful Zelda fan art is incredibly detailed, allowing these Easter eggs to blend in seamlessly with Link and Zelda's surroundings.
Eagle-eyed viewers have already been able to pick out the three Easter eggs. First, the infamous BEN Drowned creepypasta can be seen referenced in the upper right corner, with an image of Ben himself glancing between the audience and Link. Secondly, a drawing of Skull Kid can be seen carved into the left-hand side of the fallen tree trunk which forms a bridge over the river. Finally, Skull Kid himself can be seen as a silhouette standing amongst the trees in the background, with his eyes glowing pinpricks in the shadows. The attention to detail is regularly surprising fans as they find more to appreciate, which has helped the image to quickly earn over 6k likes.
