[Contains spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow season 2!]

CW's slate of DCTV shows wasted no time in finishing the first half of their seasons strong after concluding the "Invasion!" crossover story line. Legion of Doom begins to solidify, and the team could be getting a core member back as Rip's whereabouts are finally revealed. Ending with Eobard Thawne in possession of the amulet, fans must wait until the series returns at the end of January to continue the hunt for the Spear of Destiny.

The object is said to be able to alter reality, a concept that seems to be spreading throughout the DCTV timeline. The spear itself does have significant real-world relevance (from Jesus to Hitler), and in the DC universe, the spear has some direct connection to long rumored/wished for Arrow character, The Flash are trickling their way to the other CW series'.

Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash is another important chess piece from The Flash that is making waves on Legends. EW has more details on what else fans can expect from Reverse Flash this season on Legends and how he ties into his origins on The Flash. Actor Matt Letscher said:

“We are going to find out shortly on Legends of Tomorrow just how this Eobard links into the Eobard from The Flash: Where he’s coming from, and more importantly, where he’s going to after this.”

After the introduction of Damien Darhk on Arrow, magic and mystical arts have been more prominent in DCTV, including the addition of totem wearing Justice League Dark?

EW also confirmed that Thawne is not from a different Earth and that he appears to have some sort of ties to Professor Martin Stein. Thawne's plans have been unclear all season, but after he killed Rex Tyler early on, it has becoming increasingly more apparent after the mid-season finale that he'll stop at nothing to see them through. Is there a chance all this secrecy surrounding Eobard Thawne could somehow lead back into Eddie Thawne and using the Spear of Destiny to bring him back to life? Afterall, Eddie taking his own life is what got rid of Reverse Flash, since without Eddie, Eobard would never have been born.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8ET on the CW; The Flash on Tuesdays, Arrow on Wednesdays, and Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays at 8ET on The CW.
