There are two levels where players will encounter Captain Phasma, but fighting her isn't the same as defeating other bosses in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Most of the boss fights throughout the game are close-combat encounters fought with Lightsabers, and occasionally ranged weapons. However, to defeat Captain Phasma, players will need to use pieces of the environment to deal damage.
The first time players encounter Captain Phasma will be during The Force Awakens. After defeating 30 Stormtroopers, Captain Phasma will be lured out, and players will need to use a power cell to set an environmental trap for her. After repeating the process a second time, Captain Phasma will surrender, but she reappears again as a boss in The Last Jedi. Defeating Captain Phasma a second time will unlock her as a playable character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
"Chrome Dome Down" is the third story mission in The Last Jedi, and Captain Phasma will need to be defeated to complete it. Like the previous encounter, this fight with Captain Phasma is a nontraditional battle. This boss will stay up on a platform with a shield that normal weapons can't penetrate. Instead of fighting Captain Phasma head-on, players will need to trigger environmental hazards and use special weapons to defeat the boss while fighting off a few waves of Stormtroopers.
How To Beat Chrome Dome Down In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
When LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's combat encounter starts, there will be a conveyor belt over Captain Phasma's head. The green target should be shot as soon as the one carrying a TIE Fighter is positioned over the boss's head. There's a crate with a net on it and a generator to break apart in the area closer to Captain Phasma. Breaking these objects will give players the pieces needed to build a net gun to shoot at Captain Phasma. To finish draining Captain Phasma's first health bar, players will need to ride on the ball to the left of the boss and roll it into the net beneath her platform. Captain Phasma will then move to another platform.
In the next area, there are a few Stormtroopers to defeat and a gun in the center that can be used to damage Captain Phasma. The large turret can be used twice before Captain Phasma destroys it. The platform will fall, then Captain Phasma will move on to the last area of the boss fight in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. There's a weapons crate to the right that can be opened by Finn. Either weapon can be used to drain the rest of Captain Phasma's health. After draining her last health bar, a quick-time event will need to be completed to defeat this boss.
A short cutscene will play, then players will be on top of a droid with BB-8. To complete the "Chrome Dome Down" story mission, players will need to reach the other side of the hangar. Finishing the level will unlock seven characters including different versions of Finn, Rose Tico, and Captain Phasma. Players will be taken to the Crait Outpost where they can explore the new area or continue to the next mission in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
