In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Fode and Beed are among the game's most unique playable characters since they are two separate beings that share the same body. With all three trilogies available to play through, LEGO Star Wars has an ambitious roster of more than 400 characters that have either been featured in any of the Episodes or part of a spin-off series or movie. Though Fode and Beed aren't playable throughout the story, the twins can be unlocked and used during the Galaxy Free Play mode.
The majority of playable LEGO Star Wars characters can only be unlocked by completing side quests in the game, and the Galaxy Free Play mode allows players to use any character necessary to complete the task at hand. Some side quests require players to venture off-world to other planets or use specific characters and their unique abilities, so it's important to have played through every Episode in the game in order to gain access to a variety of characters and locations. Additionally, some characters like Fode and Beed require several things to be completed before the two can be unlocked.
Before Fode and Beed can be unlocked, players will need to have traveled to Naboo, Takodana, and Yavin 4, all of which can be accessed in the first episode of each trilogy in LEGO Star Wars. Afterward, the Ancient Idols side quest can be completed, where three separate idols must be collected and brought back to the mission-giver. This side quest is also a prerequisite to other missions to unlock characters like Sebulba and Roger, both of which are in the same Extras class as Fode and Beed.
How To Unlock Fode And Beed
To unlock Fode and Beed, speak with the Aspiring Scholar in Theed, Naboo to receive the Ancient Idols side mission. The three idols that must be collected for her are split across three locations, namely Lake Paonga on Naboo, Maz's Castle on Takondana, and the Great Temple on Yavin 4. This mission can be completed with any character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga as well, and the locations are available by playing through the episodes.
- Ancient Idol 1: At Lake Paonga, head to the Gungan secret location and turn to the right to find the Ancient Idol hidden at the back of the brush.
- Ancient Idol 2: On Yavin 4, head around the outside of the Great Temple to the left. Speak with the Mon Calamari NPC, then take the pathway to the left to a ruined outdoor room to find the Ancient Idol on the back left of the area.
- Ancient Idol 3: At Maz's Castle, head inside and take the left path to speak with the alien NPC bounty hunter. Next, go downstairs and into the first room on the right and shoot the LEGOs to reveal the Ancient Idol.
Return to the Aspiring Scholar in Theed to complete the mission. For 200,000 Studs in LEGO Star Wars, Fode and Beed can now be unlocked from the Extras character list. Extra characters don't have any of the class-specific abilities that other characters feature, but they're still able to fight and often have unique designs nonetheless.
