Hulu’s show miniseries had drama, it also had several heartwarming and motivational moments.

Many characters on the show are beloved by fans while others are characters that fans love to hate. Although each character has problematic moments, even the vilest characters have redeeming qualities. Let’s examine the best thing about each main character on Little Fires Everywhere.

Brian: Ambitious

Lexie’s boyfriend Brian is extremely driven. He works hard to accomplish his goals, earning his success. Brian gets amazing grades and is in many honors classes.

He also plays for the school’s football team, balancing his academic and extracurricular activities. This drive and ambition earn Brian a spot in Princeton. It is clear that Brian has a bright future ahead of him.

Linda: Good Mother

One of the central conflicts in the show is the battle for custody of May Ling. Though there are many good arguments for Bebe’s parental rights, it is undeniable that Linda is a good mother.

In several scenes, Linda is shown to be nurturing and loving of May Ling. She provides for her and works hard to make sure May Ling has a safe and caring home.

Bebe: Hard Working

Bebe is one of the hardest workers on the show. She works tirelessly at her job, even trying to push through her shifts while suffering over the pain of losing her daughter.

When May Ling has trouble breastfeeding, she perseveres for days, trying her best to help May Ling. She only surrenders May Ling when she believes May Ling will die if she doesn’t receive food. May Ling also tirelessly searches for May Ling and undertakes a tricky legal battle in an attempt to get her rights back.

Bill: Patient

Bill is incredibly forbearing. Though he is regularly frustrated with Elena, he appropriately controls his emotions. He even helps calm Elena while dealing with his own aggravating.

Despite Izzy’s hostile relationship with many of her family , Bill’s calm demeanor and patience allow him to maintain a positive relationship with her. When Bill learns that Elena met up with Jaime behind his back, he is understandably upset, but instead of exploding, he focuses on finishing his trial before confronting Elena.

Moody: Creative

One of the first things fans learn about Moody is that he is creative. He shows an interest in Pearl’s poetry and engages in conversation about literature and writing with her.

He then takes Pearl to his secret hideout, which clearly demonstrates his artistic side. While there, he plays a song on his guitar and has Pearl read her poetry as he plays, demonstrating more of his artistry.

Lexie: Ability To Grow

At the beginning of Little Fires Everywhere, Lexie seems to be one of the vilest characters. She makes ignorant comments, is self-obsessed, and shows little regard for those around her.

However, Lexie is also the character that shows the most positive growth. Her development transformed her from a despised character to a sympathetic one. This ability to change and grow is by far Lexie’s most redeeming quality.

Pearl: Forgiving

Pearl is a comionate and caring individual. She thrives to connect with those around her and is able to form positive relationships with most of the people she meets.

Pearl is extremely forgiving, sometimes to a fault. No matter how wronged she is, she often finds a way to overcome this and see the best in others. This skill allows her to maintain a positive mindset and move forward with her life instead of living in the past.

Izzy: Authentic

Izzy is a fan-favorite character because she is genuine and authentic. She expresses her individuality through her style and her art. Though she sometimes falters due to pressure, in the end, Izzy decides she would rather be hated for who she is than loved for who she isn’t.

Despite intense bullying from her peers and pressure from her mother, she maintains her style, interests, and identity.

Elena: ionate

Elena is often ignorant and misguided, but she is also incredibly ionate. When she believes in a cause, she devotes her entire self to it and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.

This leads to her sometimes becoming obsessive in her pursuit of success. Although many fans hated this character, it was because she often had flawed positions. If Elena’s ions were nobler, she would be a character for which everyone would be rooting.

Mia: Comion For Others

Mia empathizes with those around her. When learning about Bebe’s struggle to find her daughter, she immediately becomes involved, even selling her most valuable possession to front Bebe’s legal fees.

Mia takes Izzy under her wing, serving as her mentor and confidant. She is even able to connect with Elena and Lexie, showing comion for them despite their negative treatment of her.
