She recently played Hunter C-20 in American Honey as lead Star – a teen runaway who takes up with a traveling magazine sales crew.

Lane’s raw performance wowed critics and a flurry of offers soon followed. In 2018 she appeared in a trio of movies, starting with The Miseducation Of Cameron Post as a teen named Jane Fonda undergoing “therapy” at a gay conversion camp. Soon after Lane played Rose in the Nick Offerman-fronted film Hearts Beat Loud and later landed a ing role in comedy-drama After Everything. That same year, she also had an uncredited cameo in a short titled Shrimp directed by Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda.

In 2019 Lane dipped her toes into the horror genre with a role as an artist named Cassie in Adam Egypt Mortimer’s trippy psychological chiller Hellboy was a box office bomb, it was Lane’s most mainstream project at that point and helped propel her to a wider audience.

Over the past couple of years, Lane has taken on quite a few TV roles. She made her small screen debut in an episode of the 2020 anthology series Hunter C-20 in Loki season 2.

Sasha Lane’s most recent role is playing Bobbi Connolly in the BBC TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s best-selling novel Conversations With Friends which also stars Joe Alwyn and Jemima Kirke. Next up is the main role as a character named Ariana in the AppleTV+ anthology series The Crowded Room, which is loosely inspired by Daniel Keyes’ 1981 non-fiction novel The Minds Of Billy Milligan.
