Tom Hiddleston shares he loved acting with all the different variants of his character in Sophia Di Martino’s Lady Loki a.k.a. Sylvie who evaded the TVA. But the recent episodes of the Disney+ series have debuted not one, but five different iterations of the character.

The episode, titled “Journey Into the Mystery,” introduced several different Lokis, including Classic Loki (Richard E. Grant), Boastful Loki (DeObia Opare), Kid Loki (Jake Veal), Alligator Loki (via CGI), and of course, President Loki played by Tom Hiddleston himself. While President Loki and Boastful Loki tried to get their hands on the Loki Palace in the Void and everything ended in hilariously epic chaos, the remaining Lokis helped Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Lady Loki to go beyond the deadly storm monster Alioth to find the person who has been pulling the strings all along.

It was great to see Hiddleston return as Loki in the series after his character’s death in Avengers: Infinity War. But to get the opportunity to see his various iterations on the screen at the same time, fulfilling their “glorious purpose,” was definitely a treat for viewers as well as for Hiddleston. In a chat with Marvel.com, Hiddleston itted that he immensely enjoyed the experience of acting alongside talented actors who brilliantly portrayed different aspects of a character he has played for more than 11 years.

It was completely surreal and an absolute delight. I've been living with playing Loki for a long time and have become used to all his different characteristics. To suddenly be surrounded by incarnations and embodiments of those characteristics... those moments with Richard, DeObia, and Jack all together was so much fun. They're all brilliant. In that moment, the character who looks least like Loki is me. It was like being at some sort of surrealist party. It was brilliant. I just enjoyed it so much. And my character, Loki, is completely out of his depth and a fish out of water. And it was such an enjoyable thing to play.

Classic Loki looking at Loki in Loki Episode 5

It is possible that this is the last time we got to see other Loki variants, apart from Loki L1130 (as dubbed by the TVA) and Sylvie. But there are still different versions of the character that Mobius showed in Episode 2- Frost Giant Loki, Cyclist Loki, Viking Loki, Pan Loki, and Troll Loki- that the TVA pruned. As they must have also landed in the Void after being pruned, either they are yet to be introduced in person or were erased out of existence by Alioth.

Either way, it is highly unlikely that another variant will debut in the season finale. Loki and Sylvie were last seen succeeding in enchanting Alioth and will be busy unveiling the secret he has been protecting. The only way we could meet a new God of Mischief is if the mastermind running the TVA, hiding in the massive castle behind the smokey storm monster, ends up being another Loki variant instead of Kang the Conqueror, who is arguably a more plausible villain at this point.
