Brand-new costumes for Loki season 2 have been revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. The season of the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ show will see Tom Hiddleston return as the titular character, grappling with season 1's aftermath, with the sacred timeline now branching. Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jonathan Majors will return in their respective roles of Sylvie, Mobius M. Mobius, Judge Renslayer, Hunter B-15 and Kang the Conqueror, with Ke Huy Quan, Kate Dickie, and Rafael Casal ing the season.

What Loki's Season 2 Costumes Reveal About The Story

While not much is currently known about Loki season 2's story, aside from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene revealing that Kang the Conqueror would appear in the show as Victor Timely, the costumes displayed at SDCC show interesting tidbits about where it could go. Loki season 1 cracked open the multiverse and put the titular character inside an alternate timeline, where a Kang variant seemingly has taken control of the TVA, leaving the fate of the sacred timeline in limbo.

As a result, season 2 may focus on Loki and Mobius trying to fix the timeline from Sylvie's time-altering decision at the end of season 1. That aspect of the story may lead to Mobius exploring space, potentially dealing with a variant that comes from it. Loki's new costume also teases that he may become a full-time TVA agent, focusing on helping them save the timelines from merging upon themselves, creating an incursion.

Time will also tell what Sylvie's role in the season will be, though she may be at odds with Loki and Mobius, who are attempting to restore the timeline, considering Sylvie caused the events of the season 1 final scene to occur. Season 2 could focus on that rivalry, while Kang plays more of a background role as he did in season 1 and appears in a few episodes as a villain, but not the season's main antagonist. All will be revealed soon when Loki season 2 begins airing on Disney+ on October 6.
