Hiddleston will of course be the star of the show; however, Sophia Di Martino has been cast as well (possibly as the female Loki). Owen Wilson is also rumored to have a major role in the project. Fans have been mostly speculating about the show's synopsis, but now it's been revealed.

In an official statement, Disney revealed, "In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron. is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021."

While the synopsis reveals that the series will take place after Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision.

A lot is still unknown about the series at this point, but The Falcon and the Winter Solider and WandaVision will come out before Loki. The above synopsis may not seem like much, but it does confirm that Loki will return to the character's evil side, rather than the heroic side that has been seen in his last few movies. Loki will be available for streaming on Disney+ in early 2021.
