The best sources of Pirate Coins in Lost Ark are the islands dotted across the World Map. In particular, specific island quest chains reward players with a lucrative amount of Pirate Coins. However, players will need to acquire boat travel in Lost Ark to access these locations and their questlines. Traversal by ship becomes available during the main campaign at the end of the fourth regional storyline. Specifically, "Set Sail!" is the final quest of East Luterra's questline that will grant players the ability to travel the seas of Lost Ark.
Once players have access to the ocean, one of the first places they can travel to for farming Pirate Coins is Golden Wave Island, located just off the west coast of Arthetine. Another optimal spot is Turtle Island, where players can begin the Turtle Mount quest chain in Lost Ark. North of Golden Wave is Runaway Island, which will reward players with thousands of Pirate Coins for quest completion. Freedom Isle offers one of the best questlines, compensating players with 15,000 Pirate Coins in total rewards. Another great location for earning Pirate Coins is Kaltherz, which can be found on the northern side of the World Map. Next, the Sublime Isle to the far west of Shushire will reward players with several thousand coins for quest chain completion. Finally, players should consider completing three more islands: Atropos, the Giant Mushroom Island, and the Isle of Yearning. If Lost Ark fans have any trouble finding these locations, they can instantly use the World Map's "search" function to locate any island.
Many of the islands mentioned above will also reward adventurers with High Seas Coin Chests. These chests provide special coins that can be exchanged with the ship merchants docked near major areas for tens of thousands of Pirate Coins. Nevertheless, players should ensure they've taken care of buying essential upgrades or vital materials first before converting the currency into Pirate Coins.
