Like most other MMORPGs, Lost Ark gained almost 5 million new players just days after launch, gamers will want to know about the extra companions they can get that help them along their journey in Arkesia. Aside from being a unique-looking cosmetic, pets actually offer other benefits.

Some MMORPGs have a pet system that's purely for cosmetic purposes only; Lost Ark isn't like that. Although pets don't fight back or attack enemies, at least in the current stage of the game, they primarily provide stat boosts for players and help out in other small ways. Pets come with two initial stat boosts, but they can be changed for free by visiting any pet master in Arkesia. Additionally, pets also provide an auto-loot option in Lost Ark, which comes in handy while completing raids and quests. Some pets cost real money to get, but there are free options for players as well.

There are a total of three free pets in Lost Ark at the moment: White Bunny, Saphia, and Helgaia. White Bunny is a pet that players can expect to earn as they progress through the beginning of their playthrough, but the other two are only here for a limited time. After earning the basic White Bunny pet in Prideholme, players can then work their way to the others through Twitch Drops, as detailed on the official Lost Ark website.

More Free Pets In Lost Ark Are Probably Coming At Later Dates

Currently, there aren't a lot of free pet options in Lost Ark, more are probably coming in at a later date. Nevertheless, players still have access to at least one free pet anytime they want it. Once players complete the "Learning About Pets" quest, they'll earn the White Bunny. Players can pair the side companion with one of their best Lost Ark classes to become stronger. Also, if a Crystalline Aura is activated, the White Bunny and all other pets provide extra inventory storage space. While Crystalline Auras can be purchased with real money, they can also be earned as free rewards for completing in-game challenges or daily s.

Lost Ark also has a Twitch campaign currently taking place until March 1, 2022, which adds access to two more free pets. Both Saphia and Helgaia won't be available once the campaign ends, so players might want to think about grabbing them now - they look great. The Twitch drops are incentive-driven, as Amazon Game Studio's way of bringing in more players to the beautiful world of Arkesia. Since Lost Ark set a Twitch and Steam record, the campaigns are seeming to work out well. It's looking more possible every day that Lost Ark could be the next MMORPG hit of the year - or maybe of the decade - if it can maintain these numbers with fresh content in the future.
