Understanding Lost Ark's Stronghold can be a complicated process for new players, but the importance of the feature should not be overlooked. This Estate acts as both a housing system and a way to craft helpful items for end-game content. Lost Ark does a great job at spreading out additional features in the game, as to not overwhelm newcomers. However, the Stronghold can easily be discounted by players early on in their adventure, due to the number of functions for each facility.
Players gain access to their Estate around level 25, once the quest "Clerk Theo's Invitation" is completed. This mission becomes available upon reclaiming Luterra Castle during the main story. Every class in Lost Ark can take advantage of the many benefits that result from the Stronghold. While all functions are not unlocked at the beginning, adventurers do have access to the main purpose of the Stronghold, which is crafting healing potions and battle items. This will save players from spending their precious gold on consumables at the Auction House. Adventurers can travel to their Stronghold by playing the "Song of Hearth and Home."
Upon arrival, players will be able to use the management menu, to easily control all of the processes assigned to each facility. The three most important parts of the Stronghold are the Lab, Workshop, and Station. To assign any process, players must first acquire the necessary materials, typically obtained using the Life Skills in Lost Ark. The purpose of the Lab is to research new recipes, upgrades, and additional features for the Stronghold. The Workshop is used to craft healing potions, battle items, gathering tools, and decorations for the Estate. In the Station, players can dispatch NPC crewmates, and pets, on sailing expeditions to obtain experience, currency, and other rewards for use in the Stronghold. Some of the earnings from the Station can be exchanged with rotating merchants, to obtain different rewards such as additional crewmates. More functions are unlocked for the Stronghold later in the game, such as the Training Camp and Knowledge Transfer.
Lost Ark: Strongholds Can Make Leveling Other Characters Easier
The Training Camp is unlocked at level 52, and will ively train new characters up to two levels below the character's max level in the Roster. This is a great time-saver for taking on end-game content with a new class, such as Lost Ark's Sorceress. Using the Training Camp can take multiple days or even weeks, depending on the levels of each character. Luckily, players can still use this class on their adventures as normal. For a more immediate need, the Knowledge Transfer system will boost any character to level 50 in eight hours. However, this process is rather pricey, as it requires that players spend 600 gold. Both the Training Camp and Knowledge Transfer are great ways to supplement leveling additional classes.
The Stronghold serves many different functions for players in Lost Ark. From crafting potions and battle items, to granting characters ive experience, this feature is a vital part of the game. While seemingly complex, understanding and utilizing the functions of the Stronghold, are key to completing end-game content in Lost Ark.
