Data on TwitchTracker shows Lost Ark is enjoying a successful Early Access period, which began early in the morning on February 8.

Lost Ark's Early Access phase has proven so successful, in fact, that it peaked at 532,476 concurrent s on Steam. The excitement surrounding Lost Ark hardly comes as a surprise given its immense popularity in South Korea. Developers Tripod Studio and Smilegate released the isometric experience in 2019 to incredible player reception, laying the groundwork for its eventual launch in western territories. Though Amazon Games and Smilegate originally planned to unleash the title late last year, Lost Ark's update at the 2021 Game Awards confirmed an early 2022 rollout. The continued sharing of new data about the MMORPG suggests the slightly longer wait was worth it in the end.

According to the count via TwitchTracker, Lost Ark's peak viewership on Twitch has already topped 1.27 million viewers. This astronomical figure positions the massively multiplayer title at #13 on the list of highest-viewed Twitch games. As such, it sits just above Cyberpunk 2077 and Grand Theft Auto 5, respectively, both of which peaked with 1.14 million viewers on the popular streaming platform. Meanwhile, survival game Rust is just one above Lost Ark at a peak viewer count of 1.37 million. It's also worth noting that another Amazon Games-published MMORPG appears on the list as well - New World on Twitch peaked at an impressive 977,000 viewers.

Lost Ark's noteworthy start on Twitch could prove a boon to the title once its free-to-play version goes online later in the week. And that it's already suring the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Grand Theft Auto V is no small feat, either. Of course, it presently remains to be seen how such success will translate to the MMO's longevity on PC platforms.

Similar to Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo and Grinding Gear Games' Path of Exile, Lost Ark boasts an isometric camera perspective. Thus, it's quite different from Amazon Games' other hit MMORPG, New World, which topped the Steam charts in its own right at launch in September 2021. And with two chart-toppers under its belt in less than six months after years of duds, it'll be interesting to see where Amazon lands next in the interactive space.
