After watching the Love Is Blind finale, Deepti Vempati's brother and sister-in-law blasted Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee's 'cringeworthy' show comments. In a lengthy post shared on Instagram, Deepti's brother Sunny and his wife called out Shake for all the insensitive remarks he made behind her back. Deepti's brother and sister-in-law defended her decision to leave Shake at the alter and deny him her hand in marriage. As Shake deals with the blowback from the show, he is seemingly blaming bad 'edits' for all the comments he made about Deepti's physical appearance.
Deepti and Shake found a great friendship but not love. The pair hit it off in the pods with Shake choosing Deepti as the woman he would propose to. But as soon as they met in person, Shake started voicing his concern about his lack of physical attraction to Deepti. While Shake was vocal about the lag in physical connection to Deepti during his confessional, he never once told Deepti to her face. But Deepti knew something was wrong. She confessed to feeling like Shake wasn't that into her. By the time the finale came around and Deepti had the choice to marry Shake, she chose to walk away.
Fans have been praising Deepti for choosing herself and leaving Shake at the alter. Among her new fan club is none other than her brother Sunny and sister-in-law Hina. The couple posted a shared statement on Instagram defending Deepti and blasting Shake's onscreen behavior. In a lengthy caption, Sunny and Hina applauded Deepti for inspiring "so many people to realize their worth and demand what they deserve and settle for nothing less." They shared their wish that Deepti never picked Shake in the pods. But credited her carrying herself with "grace" and choosing to "see the good in people." They thanked all the viewers who have shown their to Deepti after her breakup with Shake.
Then directing their attention to Shake, they called him a "loser" who "minimized my sister's life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her." Sunny and Hina also blasted Shake for making such insensitive comments about Deepti despite knowing his own mother would have to watch it back. Sunny and Hina shared how hard it was for their parents to watch Shake "talking behind my sister's back about insecurities she fought her entire life." Sunny and Hina said that despite their pleas for her to see through Shake's "BS", she continued to be "ive" of Shake even after he made so many comments about her "body." Sunny and Hina also blasted Shake for seemingly trying to blame his remarks on editing. "No one forced you to say those words," they wrote.
They also regret inviting Shake inside of their home since he only wanted to use it for "clout." Sunny and Hina said they feel no sympathy for Shake and all the backlash he's been receiving and encouraged him to "stay away" from Deepti. Shake is among the villains following the Love Is Blind season finale. He had already started off on the wrong foot after he was one of the only guys asking the women questions about their physical appearance while in the pods. It wasn't too surprising that he allowed a physical appearance to affect his chance to find genuine love. At least Deepti was able to share a teachable and inspiring moment with the world. Never be afraid to choose yourself.
