Every reality show requires a memorable villain, and luckily, the Love Is Blind franchise has had many of them. While some ed the show hoping to find their soulmates, others showed signs that they were paid actors who were on the series for their own gain. Since its inception in 2020, Love Is Blind has gone on to become an international show with spin-offs from different countries, including Japan, Brazil, Sweden, and the UK. For a while now, production has shaped the narrative the viewers get with fun edits, cutting out people and giving "good guy" and "villain" edits.
Well, it doesn't mean that there are no real cast , considering that there have been incredible pairings from Love Is Blind, including Love Is Blind season 6, had lots of cast with questionable intentions, with some participants accused of having secret partners while filming. It was a thrilling season. Here are other Love Is Blind contestants who seem shady.
10 Shake Chatterjee
Love Is Blind Season 2
Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee took the villain role in Love Is Blind season 2. While the experiment was meant to exclude the superficial aspects as the hopefuls looked for love, Shake's earlier comments left many wondering if he'd missed the whole point of being on the show. He tried figuring out other cast ' weights by asking questions like, "I love buying clothes for girls; what's your size?" This left most viewers cringing at his comments.
Of course, things got worse after Shake was paired with Deepti Vempati. The Love Is Blind star spoke about his lack of physical attraction towards his fiancée. Though Deepti chose herself at the altar, leaving him behind, Shake's mean comments continued.
Shake was unapologetic about his comments and behavior on Love Is Blind, adding that there were lots of problematic cast . Shake is a life coach. He claims to assist his clients in achieving self-love and success by teaching them ability. Based on that, his appearance on Love Is Blind was all for the show. The clout chaser really stirred the pot.
9 Ariela Carasso
Love Is Blind: Brazil Season 4
Love Is Blind: Brazil season 4 promised something different. It featured mature people who had either divorced, been separated, or exited long-term relationships. Therefore, when Ariela Carasso ed the pods, it was shocking to see how immature, insensitive and fame-driven she was. Ariela connected with Evandro Pinto, whose relationship ended as soon as they stepped out of the pods, thanks to Ariela's self-sabotage.

Love Is Blind Brazil Season 4: Which Couples Are Still Together?
Love Is Blind: Brazil brought people who were looking for love for a second or third time. Here are all the couples who are still together.
She accused Evandro of dating someone else while he was still on Love Is Blind, accusations he completely denied. She broke her own heart by creating a narrative about the text messages between Evandro and the other woman. However, the conversation happened way before the two met on the show. Due to how dramatic she was, Love Is Blind viewers accused her of being a paid actor, with a Reddit , thee_gianna, starting a thread about her, noting that her "unhinged behavior on the show was on purpose."
8 Sam Klein
Love Is Blind: UK Season 1
Sam Klein was the most controversial cast member on Love Is Blind. He was on autopilot mode from start to finish, using some of the corniest lines in dating history. Based on how Sam described his failed dating life, it was also apparent that the Love Is Blind star was full of himself. He got involved in a love triangle with Benaiah GB and Nicole Stevens during the first episodes of Love Is Blind: UK.
Sam love bombed Nicole, who eventually accepted his proposal, leaving Benaiah heartbroken. Their initial meeting after the proposal ended up being the most awkward TV moment ever, as they didn't seem to have the same chemistry they had in the pods. However, Sam and Nicole's engagement ended quickly, with Nicole calling it quits as the other Love Is Blind: UK couples headed off to a luxurious retreat in Greece.
In a shocking twist, Nicole rekindled her romance with Benaiah, and they ed the other couples for their honeymoon. Nevertheless, Sam wasn't done. He rolled up at an event featuring the successful couples and other singles, creating more chaos between Nicole and Benaiah. Sam's behavior throughout the series showed that he was most likely an industry plant. He was seemingly on the show to create drama.
7 Bartise Bowden
Love Is Blind Season 3
Bartise Bowden was blatantly misogynistic, arrogant, insensitive, and selfish throughout Love Is Blind season 3. After getting engaged to Nancy Rodriguez, everything started going downhill. Baritse confessed that he was attracted to another contestant, Raven Ross, and let his physical attraction towards her get in the way of his relationship with Nancy. Not only did Bartise drag Nancy along, but he also disguised himself as "honest" while being mean in some conversations. His ego was inflated. Bartise came off as fake and insecure at times, as if he was playing a role for the cameras.
The climax happened when he left Nancy at the altar after she'd said, "I do." During the reunion, Bartise's responses to criticism came off as safe and calculated answers. When Vanessa Kachey asked if Bartise and Nancy had gone to post-filming, Nancy said there were videos of him and a "tall blonde" girl circulating. Bartise refused to discuss that situation, claiming it was his private life. That was an ironic response for someone who had signed up to be on reality TV.
6 Sergio Rincon
Love Is Blind: Sweden Season 1
Sergio Rincon gave the Love Is Blind audience some of the cringiest moments in television history when the Swedish version of the show made its debut. He attempted to be an elusive character in the pods, refusing to share his full name, which caused some women to exclude him as a potential match. After creating some mystique, he eventually let his guard down after meeting Amanda Jonegard.
Although Amanda fell head over heels for Sergio, he was unsure about her. He was later accused of having a child with another woman in Barcelona, days before he and Amanda walked down the aisle. Sergio showed that he was quite a Machiavellian type.
Sergio's most devious and Machiavellian characteristic was his insincere charm and charisma. It was on display during his social interactions on Love Is Blind: Sweden.
When confronted, he'd think of different manipulative tactics to get away with it. He lied onscreen about having a child and denied it, which at first made it look like bad editing. Although it was later confirmed that Sergio had a child with another Swedish woman (that reveal happened during the Love Is Blind: Sweden reunion), there will always be a question of whether production continued with this storyline because Sergio's diabolical behavior made for interesting TV. He had already presented himself as a walking red flag.
5 Lydia Arleen
Love Is Blind Season 5
Lydia Arleen from Love Is Blind came across as one of the most self-absorbed cast from season 5. She had previously dated Uche Okoroha, another cast member who was on the show at the same time. During her time on Love Is Blind, she tried sabotaging Uche's connection with Aaliyah Cosby, telling her that she and Uche had met a few months before the filming started, which complicated things further.
Uche fervently denied the accusations, assuring Aaliyah that the relationship ended way before, and that Lydia had blocked him on Instagram. There was no way the production team just stumbled on two exes who would later the show. Lydia and Uche's complicated relationship was one for the books. It turned Uche's and Aaliyah's formerly strong connection into nothing, with the pair going their separate ways after the season.
4 Jessica Vestal
Love Is Blind Season 6
Love Is Blind season 6 will go down in history as one of the seasons with the most clout chasers. When Jessica Vestal first got into the pods, she presented herself as someone who was honest and needed a genuine connection. Jessica's most memorable moment was when Jimmy Presnell chose Chelsea Blackwell over her.
She was quick to tell him that he would choke after seeing her, and would need an EpiPen to open up his airways after he realized what he had missed out on. Here, Jessica gives hints about how attractive she is, which is quite dramatic. It's still one of the most savage disses ever on Love Is Blind.
3 Trevor Sova
Love Is Blind Season 6
Trevor Sova was accused of having a serious relationship while filming Love Is Blind, after messages between him and his alleged girlfriend leaked on the @therealityashley Instagram . The discovery was shocking, considering that Trevor was seen as the nice guy who was heartbroken after Chelsea chose Jimmy over him. During the Love Is Blind season 6 reunion, Trevor confirmed the text messages were real but said they weren't really in a relationship. It's possible that the Love Is Blind producers put him there on purpose or didn't thoroughly investigate his background to learn more about his relationship status.
2 Matthew Duliba
Love Is Blind Season 6
Matthew Duliba entered Love Is Blind season 6 to find his soulmate. He was controversial from the start, refusing to answer the questions in the post, and leaving a couple of contestants talking to themselves (Love Is Blind Netflix). However, he got involved in a love triangle with Amber Desiree AD Smith and Amber Grant before he self-eliminated when both women confronted him for telling them the same things.
His specific interactions with these Love Is Blind women centered around similar marriage promises, which made him seem like either a casting mistake or a production plant. Matthew later accused Netflix of smearing his name and making him look bad. His appearance on the show ignited the debate about the authenticity of emotional connections. He was just on Love Is Blind to enjoy a few minutes of fame and, in his words, keep America watching.
1 JP Pierce
Love Is Blind Season 5
JP Pierce and Taylor Rue had a good time connecting in the pods. They exchanged cringe pet names - sugar and sugar butt - but using these names in their conversations appeared more like an obligation than a genuine joy. That was one of the first indications that something was off in their relationship. After meeting for the first time, things got surprisingly awkward. Taylor did the most talking to fill up the lengthy pauses the two experienced.
Their disconnect was evident while on their vacation in Mexico. After raising this problem for a while, JP eventually itted that he wasn't attracted to Taylor at the reveal, claiming she seemed "fake." He didn't like the makeup "caked" on her face. JP and Taylor broke up shortly afterward.
JP's disinterest in knowing Taylor shows that he just appeared on Love is Blind to stir up the drama and keep people talking. Some of the comments he made about Taylor's physical appearance were rude and downright demeaning. He could have had a better way of phrasing things rather than blatantly attacking her appearance.
Love Is Blind season 7 premieres October 2 on Netflix.
