The second season of Netflix's dating experiment show, Love Is Blind, has taken the internet by storm. Season 2 has proved to be just as explosive as season 1, and fans are weighing in on the drama on social media, especially on Twitter and TikTok.
Fans have been diving deep into the show and the cast, making elaborate TikToks to analyze behavior and interactions between couples. Even more entertainingly, fans have made hilarious edits and poignant observations that are sure to leave viewers cackling.
The Camera Guys Don't Give A F---
Right off the bat, Trisha was a lot to take in. She bragged to every guy in the pods about her Instagram following (even though Natalie had everyone beat in of Insta followers and never brought it up) and she was convinced that every man on the show was obsessed with her. @Bridgyonce caught the whole interaction and posted it to TikTok.
When she was asked about Nick and Danielle's relationship, viewers got a rare quip from one of the cameramen. Trisha said that she didn't think Danielle was strong competition with her and the cameraman asked why she thought that was the case. The guess is that he knew she was making a rude comment about Danielle's appearance. He pushed further, saying, "What do you mean she's not competition? He don't get to see you." Trisha's expression was absolutely priceless.
Shayne's Wild Wedding Day Eyes
Something was definitely up with Shayne for a large portion of the show--but he was especially fidgety on his wedding day. As Shayne was waiting for Natalie to walk down the aisle, he couldn't stop moving around and making facial expressions that are less than desirable from a future husband.
One fan, @valentinaxoxoxo on TikTok, made a compilation that featured all of the faces that Shayne was making as he waited, and captioned the video, "If I was walking down the aisle and my man was doing this instead of bawling...I'm respectfully turning my ass around." They can't be blamed for that reaction--Shayne's face doesn't look too thrilled.
When Shayne Was Over Shake
Tension was very high at the season 2 reunion, and one thing the entire cast could agree on was that they were collectively over Shake. It's not very surprising, considering Shake is one of the least likable of the bunch. The moment the reunion started, Shake immediately commented that he was edited poorly, and Shayne wasn't having it.
On TikTok, @alioosk made a compilation of all the times Shayne looked like he was losing his patience with Shake--and there were a lot of moments. Every time Shake touched Shayne, he crinkled his nose and looked like he was two seconds away from socking him in the face. It was hilarious to see.
Shaina's View During The Reunion
Something that has become a laughing point as far as the reunion is concerned is Shaina's tendency to squint in every shot that she's featured. Every fan that's re-enacted one of her scenes has made sure to highlight her signature squinty face.
One TikToker, @brandilynthe, made a point to make a video depicting what they thought Shaina's point-of-view would be during the reunion if fans could see through her practically closed eyelids. They put their fingers around the camera to mimic her squint and it was great.
A Deer In The Headlights
On the topic of Shaina's slivered stare, TikToker @chantalthepoet took a clip from a scene of Shaina introducing Kyle to her family and turned it into one of the best jokes. When Shaina's mom was talking about her first impressions of them as a couple, she said that Shaina looked like "a deer in the headlights."
Deer, when caught in the headlights of a car, have their eyes open wide in fear. In fact, that's why the expression exists, to use as a metaphor for terrified deer. Ironically, Shaina's eyes in that scene and every other scene, are the exact opposite of wide in fear.
Someone Clapping As Deepti Walked Out?
Shake and Deepti might not have been one of the most dramatic couples on the show, but they certainly were one of the most problematic. All in all, it's definitely a good thing that Deepti chose herself at the altar and walked away from Shake and their potential marriage.
However, @watchwithneebz on TikTok made a hilarious discovery in the scene that featured Shake and Deepti's wedding ceremony. They point out all of the people that look understandably upset or angry, and then there's a shot of Deepti walking back down the aisle and there's a woman clapping. Both in and out of context, it's a pretty funny visual.
"And I'm Gonna Get You Pregnant"
One of the biggest reveals of the Love Is Blind reunion episode was that Vanessa truly believes Shake went on the wrong dating show because of his misconception of the purpose of the show. He was way too concerned with the physical aspect of his prospective partners and kept talking about the need for an "animal instinct" with his sexual relationship.
Fans, across the board, were not fans of Shake or his attitude on the show and many thought that the things he said were beyond cringey. @Onkardeeep on TikTok made a video in disgust of Shake and Deepti's first time seeing each other, during which he whispered, "And I'm gonna get you pregnant." During the video, they commented, "If a guy that I met for the first time said this to me, I would literally go and get my tubes tied."
Grabbing The Back Of The Neck
Fans were really rooting for Iyanna and Jarette to make it and were hoping they could move past Jarette flirting with Mallory, which was the worst thing he did on the show. When they finally got to the altar and said yes to each other, it was a happy sign that love might truly be blind after all.
The two have a lot of chemistry, and TikToker @valen_tiny noticed a moment that was too hot to handle and their reaction was hilarious. As Valentine zoomed in on Jarette's hand on the back of Iyanna's neck during their kiss, they said, "When they say, 'Kiss the bride' he grabs me like this? Pack it up. Everybody just go. There is no reception. Take me home. Right. Now."
Euphoria Cross-Over
Both Euphoria and Love Is Blind have been wildly trending on TikTok, with countless fans making scene recreations, reactions, and analyses to both shows in real-time as they were viewed. In a way, the fan communities for both shows were very similar.
During the reunion, there was a lot of drama between Shayne, Natalie, and Shaina regarding Shayne and Shaina's relationship. When Shayne was asked if he had seen Shaina after filming, he very guiltily looked down and Shaina squinted bullets at him across the room. The scene had very similar energy to Maddy and Cassie's confrontation on Euphoria, so @valentinaxoxoxo set the interaction to the Euphoria audio on TikTok.
This Is A Work Of Art
A huge trend on TikTok a few months ago was an audio that said, "This is a work of art, but this is bulls---" several times, and people who show things that they liked and things that they didn't like alternatively throughout their videos.
On the show, there were clear and obvious favorites within the fan base, and @_jadanyelex3 went straight to TikTok to use the audio to share their favorite and least favorite cast for the second season. Among the "works of art" were Iyanna, Sal, and Natalie. The "bulls---" was Shake, Shayne, and Shaina.
