As expected, the Love is Blind season 2 reunion special brought the drama, with emotions running high and plenty of things to be said among the cast . While only two couples actually went through with their weddings and remain together, everyone who made it past the first stage in the pods returned for the reunion.

From Shake's villainous comments that had everyone's jaws on the floor (and even host Vanessa losing her temper) to Natalie's emotional breakdown about what happened with her and Shayne, there were some big reveals in this catch-up.

Shayne And Shaina Have Seen Each Other Since

The details were vague, but when Shayne was asked if he had seen Shaina since the show ended, he hesitated before itting that he had but noted he didn't want to get into details. Shaina looked confused about his response, noting under her breath that they did see one another but it wasn’t alone.

The topic was quickly changed, but it only served to fuel rumors that Shayne and Shaina may try to date one another down the line, or might have already gotten together romantically, though both denied it. Shaina leading Kyle on was the worst thing she did on Love is Blind 2, even though she swore that wasn't her intention and she was simply torn and confused. But fans are adamant that her desire to get Shayne to herself was at least part of the reason.

Kyle Had A Connection With Deepti

One of the most surprising reveals from the reunion was that Kyle had developed a connection with Deepti in the pods as well. This was never shown since the focus was always on Kyle and his connection with Shaina and Deepti and her connection with Shake.

While Deepti did not comment on this, Kyle was very open about the fact that he believed he made a mistake in not pursuing his feelings for Deepti at the time, as he finds her to be an incredible woman. This left fans wondering if Deepti might feel the same and if there could be a romance brewing between those two.

Shake Fashioned Himself A Villain

Shake in the middle of a heated moment on the Love is Blind season 2 reunion, Kyle and Shayne on either side.

Shake noted right from the get-go that he believed he was being positioned as a villain on the show, so for the reunion, he was going to fully embrace that role. Indeed, he did a lot of interrupting and interjecting, making comments that had everyone shaking their heads in disagreement and disbelief.

If Shake came across as narcissist, shallow, and uncaring on the show, he only solidified these views on the reunion. He defended the way he felt about Deepti and the things he said, arguing that people don't go on the show to find a spouse (despite others clarifying for him that that's exactly what the show is about).

Vanessa Thinks Shake Went On The Wrong Show

Love Is Blind host Vanessa Lachey

During a heated argument that would easily rank among the biggest fights in Love is Blind season 2, Vanessa told Shake she believes he went on the wrong show. She noted that it seemed his focus was mainly on outward attraction, and if that was the case, there are plenty of other reality dating shows that focus on that aspect of a relationship.

She explained that this show was about finding a deeper connection with someone, loving them for the person they are on the inside, and it was one of the fieriest moments from Vanessa thus far.

Something Unknown Happened Between Sal And Mallory

Sal was vague about what happened between him and Mallory, noting only that there were things going on that he preferred not to discuss, and that he did not "feel heard" by her. She nodded in approval as though she knew what he was talking about, but neither was interested in airing the dirty laundry on the show.

While fans hoped they might have connected outside of the show and started dating without the pressures of a wedding or cameras, the pair ended up going their separate ways. Fans still don't know what happened but it's clear from Sal's comments that there was something specific that made it difficult for them to continue together.

Jarrette Toned Down His Partying

Jarrette and Iyanna both wearing red on the Love is Blind reunion, kissing one another.

One of the biggest issues Iyanna had with Jarrette was that he lived like a bachelor because, well, he was. He went out often with friends to bars and clubs, partying until the wee hours of the morning, even on weekdays. Not only would this be a tough lifestyle to maintain once married, but Iyanna is a total introvert.

The pair found ways to compromise since getting married, with Jarrette going out less and Iyanna actually ing him from time to time to get out of her comfort zone. It was refreshing to see the pair had found their own balance.

Nick And Danielle Are More Alike Than They Came Across

The show might have made it look like Nick and Danielle are complete opposites, but they discussed how they actually have more in common than the show let on. In a video walk-through of Nick's apartment, now their matrimonial home, Danielle revealed that Nick, who some felt was Cameron's counterpart on season 2 of Love is Blind, actually had some ridiculous costumes of his own as well.

Meanwhile, they talked about how they have had parties and no furniture was broken, with Danielle suggesting that the broken furniture at her old place might simply have been the result of her owning cheap pieces. They also joked about how Nick is more inclined to dance on the tables than she or her friends are.

Shayne And Natalie Tried To Date Again

Shayne and Natalie revealed that they did indeed try to meet up and date casually again after the events of the show, but the argument was still too fresh in their minds. Natalie was not able to get over the hurtful things Shayne said to her the night before the wedding, even though she itted she knows he didn't mean them.

Both appeared to be very shaken up and upset that they didn't go through with the wedding, while the other cast noted that they were all certain Shayne and Natalie would both say yes.

Shayne And Jarrette Warned Deepti About Shake

In several scenes, Shake is seen confiding in both Jarrette and Shayne about his feelings for Deepti and his lack of physical attraction to her. It was revealed in the reunion that both Shayne and Jarrette approached Deepti to tell her this and warn her that Shake was not someone she should marry.

While she continued through the process, it was clear she had no intention of marrying him, especially with the other guys stepping up to make sure she didn't make a mistake. But the fact that the guys gave Deepti a heads up earns a spot among the biggest surprises in season 2 of Love is Blind.
