Bosun Luke Jones ed the ranks of Below Deck Down Under season 2, and there's curiosity surrounding what he's up to now. In season 2, episode 7 of the hit Bravo series, Luke was fired for sexual harassment after exhibiting inappropriate behavior toward Stew Margot Sisson. Chief Stew Aesha Scott involved Captain Jason Chambers and the production team, and Luke was swiftly terminated.

Luke's bad behavior throughout the season hadn't gone unnoticed. Captain Jason called out Luke various times for his lack of leadership and initiative, as his work was not up to par on the luxury yacht. Despite his crush on Margot, he also made waves by sleeping with Stew Laura Bileskalne on the crew's second night out and played various women on the show. Due to his terrible work ethic and bad behavior, Luke certainly deserved to be fired. What has he been up to since leaving Below Deck Down Under?

Luke Was In Dubai After Below Deck Down Under

According to his Instagram, Luke was in Dubai following his firing on Below Deck Down Under. He seems to spend most of his time working out, promoting his fitness brand, and showing off his luxury lifestyle. While it's unclear exactly when he moved to Dubai, his first post in the United Arab Emirates was in late 2022. The native Australian has always enjoyed adventure, so his exploration of a new locale since his time on Below Deck Down Under is unsurprising.

However, Luke has been in Dubai since late April 2024, according to his Instagram. Currently, as of August 2024, Luke is in Sri Lanka. He started posting from there in May and is still sharing content from the island as of August 2024. It's unclear if Luke has moved to Sri Lanka permanently.

Luke Is In A Relationship

Luke appears to be in a relationship with fitness influencer and personal trainer Diana Maldonado. She mostly posts about her fitness routine and inspires her followers with her aspirational workout reels, but sometimes, Luke shows up in her photos. She also comments on his photos regularly, alluding to how attractive he is or how lucky she is to be with him. They appeared to be living together in Dubai, and she is currently with him in Sri Lanka; their lifestyles mesh well so they seem like the perfect match.

Diana's profile was private after Luke's firing from Below Deck Down Under, but she has since gone public again. Diana's profile mostly consists of workouts and wellness, very similar to Luke's. The couple even owns a business together called Empowerment Retreats. As of January 2025, it's unclear if the pair is still together. They do still follow each other on Instagram, so the likelihood of them still dating is high.

Luke Was Working On Self-Improvement

Luke's tenure on Below Deck Down Under was abysmal at best and culminated in an alleged sexual assault at worst, but according to his Instagram Story, Luke is working on self-improvement. When the firing episode aired, Luke posted a photo of a yacht on his Instagram story captioned, "Self-Improvement 1.5 years on," indicating he was working on himself and acknowledging some of his wrongdoing. While the bosun ultimately deserved to be fired from Below Deck Down Under season 2, hopefully, he has learned his lesson.

Luke's Journey On Below Deck Down Under

Luke's journey in Below Deck Down Under season 2 is one of the worst in the history of the franchise. Luke ed the show as the bosun, meaning he was in charge of the deck team. When he first ed the show, Luke was already receiving flack for his poor performance as a bosun. Then, his true colors started to show when Luke would flirt with Margot. The Stew thought Luke was attractive, but she wasn't super interested in him as Margot had a bit of a crush on deckhand Harry Van Vliet.

So, during one night out, after Margot rejected his advances, Luke's harassment towards Margot left a very dark cloud over the rest of the season.

Will Luke Ever Return To The Below Deck Franchise?

After being the reason for Below Deck Down Under season 2's very dark season, Luke will likely never return to the franchise. What he did was something that could never be forgiven, especially by a TV network. Bravo wouldn't want him on his shows as he could be a liability. Not to mention, Margo was severely traumatized by the incident, and Bravo does want to take care of their cast as much as they can. Aesha is also a mainstay in the Below Deck franchise, and she wouldn't return if she knew the franchise invited him back.

Luke's time on Below Deck Down Under was very controversial, so there is no way the network would want him to return, nor would he want to. What happened was embarrassing for him and quite shameful too, so he likely wants to stay off reality TV altogether, moving forward. Besides, Luke doesn't seem to work in the yachting industry anymore, following his Below Deck Down Under exit. Luke is at least focusing on bettering himself, which is a great move after what he did on the show.

What Is Luke Up To Now?

As for what Luke is up to in 2024, he has completely moved on from his Below Deck Down Under days. Luke doesn't seem to be working at yachting anymore, as he's been traveling a lot with his girlfriend, Diana. The pair started their own business together last year called Empowerment Retreats, where they take people on retreats to help transform their minds, body, and spirit. According to the Empowerment Retreats Instagram, their next retreat is being held in Kyrgyzstan, which is in Central Asia. The retreat costs AED 5,450, which is less than $1,500 USD.

Other than his business, Luke has been focusing on his wellness in 2024. His most recent video from last July shows him working out. In the video, Luke explains what he's done to achieve his dream body now that he's in his 30s. He believes exercise, water, sleep, and a balanced diet are some of the key things people should follow to feel and look good. Luke even mentioned that he no longer drinks alcohol; however, in moderation, it's fine to have when trying to stay healthy. Cutting out alcohol may have been the right move for Luke after Bellow Deck Down Under.
