Over-the-top shark sim teasing Maneater DLC for a while now, and this content has been almost a year coming.
The new DLC, titled Truth Quest, adds new story content with two new episodes. The story of Maneater continues as the Naval Wildlife Organization and Trip Westhaven attempt to uncover the vast secrets of the deep and uncover what is causing these odd, mutated sharks. Gameplay will also be enhanced as enemies attempt to attack players via air with helicopters or launch attacks from the beaches or fortifications. The level cap has also been increased to level 40 along with new upgrades to ensure players can maintain the status of being true kings of the sea.
Sean McBride, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive detailed the conspiracy-filled Maneater DLC and teases new locations, tools to use, and more. "We’re aiming to give players more of what they loved from the original Maneater, with the ability to grow bigger, explore an entirely new region off the coast of Port Clovis, and evolve further tools of destruction. Inspired by Scaly Pete's father's tales of 'Gub'ment Experiments', we pick up where we left off and Trip Westhaven and the shark's journey down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and military cover ups as you eat, explore and evolve through these uncharted waters," said McBride.
Maneater: Truth Quest, will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC in Summer 2021.
