Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans can rejoice as a new collection of content is coming in Wave 4 of the Booster Course DLC with exciting tracks and a playable character added to the roster of drivers. The entire Booster Course is expected to slowly release a total of 48 tracks over six waves that should be completed by the end of 2023. It can either be purchased as a full DLC or is available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack hip.

This latest announcement and trailer for Booster Course Wave 4, which follows a free Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update in December, includes some favorite tracks from previous games that have been newly remastered for the Switch. There is also an exciting debut of the all-new Yoshi's Island track shown in the trailer that gives a bit of a nostalgic feel. The cheerful track is inspired by Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island from the SNES console and includes fun obstacles such as the Stilt Guys and Huffin Puffins.

Birdo Is The New Character Coming In Mario Kart 8's Booster Course Wave 4

The other big addition to Wave 4, initially revealed in Nintendo's February Direct is the fan-favorite pink dinosaur Birdo as a playable driver in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course . Birdo is a returning character, having made her first karting appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! This opens the door for future content waves to introduce more characters as well, though it has not been confirmed that this will be the case.

Each new track, as well as Birdo, will be available on March 9 as soon as the Booster content goes live. This could be a fun means for fans to enjoy spending Mario Day on March 10, exploring all the new tracks and content added in Wave 4 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course and trying out Birdo as a driver. It will be interesting to see what future characters and tracks get added in the last two waves, which are still to come.
