A new trailer for Wave 2 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course was just released. The footage revealed all eight exciting courses being added to the game. The trailer also showed that fans can expect to begin racing on the new tracks next week. The original Mario Kart 8 premiered on the Wii U in 2014, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2017. Since then, the game has remained one of the most popular titles on the console. The Booster Course serves to provide fans with more enjoyment by bringing back older courses from the series.

The DLC was announced early in 2022 and is broken up into six waves. There are a total of 48 courses, with each wave containing eight tracks. Wave 1 of the Booster Course  came out on March 18, 2022. The DLC will be released slowly over time until the end of 2023. This means that fans should not expect to see Mario Kart 9 at least for another year.

Wave Two Of Mario Kart 8's Booster Course Releases In August

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Wave 2 Courses

The second wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC is arriving on August 4, 2022. The Booster Course  is basically MK9 because Nintendo Switch fans will get 48 additional courses, albeit mostly remastered tracks. This is the same amount as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe already. Players can purchase the expansion pack for $24.99. Owners of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion will get access to all 48 courses included with their subscription. This service costs $50 for individuals, which is a $30 increase from the $20 price of the normal NSO. A family hip costs $80 and can be spread across 2-8 people. Along with the Booster Course Pack, fans will have access to a library of games from the Sega Genesis and N64. The service also includes the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC.

Despite fans wishing for a sequel, there has been little news about a new game in the Mario Kart series. The Booster Couse Pack is strategically spread out to keep players satisfied during Mario Kart 9's development. Now is the perfect time to hop back into Mario Kart 8 Deluxeor enjoy the title for the first time. Fans can race with their favorite characters on the remastered courses, when wave two of the DLC releases on August 4, 2022.
