Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a journey through the stars, and every good journey creates memories. In this game, memories are a collectible that give information on the world, enemies, and friendly characters. Each of the five planets has memories in a few different locations. The first planet in Mario + Rabbids, Beacon Beach, is the home of a lighthouse, beautiful beaches, a merman warden, and the game's earliest memories.

Half of the memories attributed to Beacon Beach are automatically available following the tutorial. These memories educate the player on the events and lore of its predecessor Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, establishing a connection despite the many mechanic changes. These starting memories are Hello World, The Trans-Rabb-o-Lator, Mystery of the Sparks, Probes and Memories, The Story So Far, and A Home Called Spaceship. The fourth memory discusses one of the key sources of memories. Probes are turtle-shaped devices that carry one memory each and are hidden throughout each planet.

  • Sunrise Temple: This is where players meet Edge, the black-and-green-haired sword-wielding Rabbid. The probe containing this memory is on a side path upon entering the Temple Catacombs
  • Augie: The warden of Beacon Beach, a dumb but lovable merman king reminiscent of King Triton. This memory probe is right of the Giant Wildclaw boss fight. Climb the ladder and follow the path to the probe.
