Voice actor Khary Payton has revealed that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will likely be releasing around Christmas. The title is the latest entry to the Marvel universe, based on the 2010 comic, Flags of Our Fathers. The game will see Black Panther, Captain America, and several allies forces for a common cause. The game is scheduled for release in 2025, but thanks to Payton we now know to potentially expect it in the latter part of the year.

In a recent interview with The Direct, Black Panther voice actor Khary Payton narrowed down the release window of the action title to around the holidays. Payton has stated that Skydance New Media studio is currently working on the title and hopes that the game's release will be "a Christmas situation." He told The Direct:

"We’re still working. We’re planning on 2025… We’re thinking like a Christmas situation. But I'm so excited."

Of course, until confirmed by Skydance New Media or the game's publisher Plaion, Payton's words should be taken with a pinch of salt. If he's correct, though, fans may be able to play the game around this year's holiday season.

What A Q4 Release Window Could Mean For Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra

It May Be The Only Marvel Video Game Or Movie In The Holidays

Just over two months into the year, Marvel still has an incredibly busy year ahead of it. There are several Marvel universe projects in the works, including a Black Panther spin-off series on Disney+, Eyes of Wakanda, scheduled to begin on August 6. The holiday season looks like it'll be fairly quiet for Marvel though, with just the genre-bending Wonder Man slated for a December theater release.
