Although Marvel has not yet announced a new Avengers movie, Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige recently spoke to MTV News about the future of the superhero team. When asked if Marvel Studios already knows who will be on the next Avengers team, Feige said:
Yes. And it will be a very different team than we’ve seen before. That’s what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t met yet.
Feige also talked about Marvel discussing just how much it wanted to reveal at SDCC, suggesting that the company has already thought about the next decade of MCU films. However, he reiterated that he felt announcing 11 projects arriving over the next two years was enough for fans to handle. These projects include a lot of new Marvel movies, as well as new TV shows that are exclusive to the Disney+ streaming service. Feige also suggested he knows what the next big Marvel event is and praised the comic books for making that kind of storytelling easy to adapt for the MCU.
It's this kind of planning that continues to set the MCU apart with the majority of its movies and TV shows connected in some way to tell an overall story. That kind of foresight is what keeps fans coming back for more, as proven by the recent success of Endgame, which is now the number one movie of all time.
