The newest class of Stormbreakers, wildly impressive up-and-coming comic artists and illustrators, have just been revealed by Marvel Comics, with stunning talent behind acclaimed Marvel comics like Black Widow (2020), Immortal X-Men (2022), and X-Deaths of Wolverine (2022).
Marvel's Stormbreakers Initiative, which started in 2020 and is a continuation of their Young Guns program, gets together a small group of talented artists who have contributed to Marvel Comics. Over the course of two years, it spotlights their work, "...showcasing their talent, artistry, and skill to the world through new and exclusive work at Marvel Comics." The Stormbreakers Class of 2020 featured incredible artists Natacha Bustos, R.B. Silva, Joshua Cassara, Iban Coello, Carmen Carnero, Patrick Gleason, Juann Cabal, and Peach Momoko, all of whom contributed to stunning collaborative Marvel work over their 2 years as Stormbreakers.
Hulk vs. Thor: Banner of War (2022), and last but certainly not least is Nic Klein, who loves Thor and Hulk and is most known for his work on Thor (2020). These talented artists also contributed their first "official" Stormbreakers illustration, drawing in order of appearance, Ironheart, Spectrum, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, and Black Panther.
The Stormbreakers Class of 2023 is incredibly diverse in of nationality, with artists coming from Italy, Mexico, , Uruguay, Brazil, and the USA, and each of the artists have not only contributed tons of gorgeous art to Marvel already, but will be given even more new and exclusive projects over the next two years. As the next generation of Stormbreakers, these incredible eight artists will each be able to work on their own individual works while also collaborating on Stormbreakers-led projects, like her ongoing sequel, Demon Wars.
