DC and Marvel had their ups and downs with their respective cinematic universes or (independent) movies. The MCU is quite acclaimed and popular thanks to its accurately connected movies and storylines; the DCEU might have not reached Marvel's level, yet, but they are some solid movies based on DC's comics.

Although fans usually debate whether one is better than the other, both DC and Marvel contributed with amazing movies to the cinecomics' history and culture. IMDb listed the most relevant ones, as well as the most forgettable superhero movies. Find out who did it better between Marvel and DC by reading below!

Marvel's Best: Iron Man 3 - 7.2

Iron-Man-3-

Perhapsthe best live-action adaption of the character among all (since the first movie is pretty much unbeatable), but it did leave a pleasant taste in the mouths of those who watched it, as we can see by that IMDb's score. The action, or rather the fighting scenes are pretty amazing, almost as much as Robert Downey Jr.'s performance as a quirky, intelligent, and irreverent Tony Stark.

DC's Worst: Catwoman - 3.4

The only Halle Berry's amazing acting (and adaption of her cat-like manners); it's easy to understand, however, why the critics did not appreciate it that much.

DC's Best: Wonder Woman - 7.4

Wonder Woman (2017) was a refreshing addition to the DCEU because the public finally gets to see a live-action Diana Prince and the first representation of an independent female lead in a cinematic universe that used to be principally centered around Batman and Superman.

The storyline and the characters were well written and developed, and the adaption of the main protagonist was accurate and very enjoyable to see on screen. This movie was a success for the DCEU.

DC's Worst: Batman And Robin - 3.7

Marvel's Best: Guardians Of The Galaxy - 8.0

one of the most enjoyable and remarkable superhero movies to be ever made, as its IMDb score testifies.

Marvel's Worst: Fantastic Four - 4.3

The Fantastic Four movie (2015) is also known as one of the most disliked superhero movies among critics and hardcore fans. It depicts the origins and birth of the heroic team, whose are still learning how to handle their new inhuman abilities.

Sadly, the movie hasn't turned out to be such a sensational portrayal of these popular superheroes, might be for the storyline or poorly written scenes.

Marvel's Best: Avengers: Infinity War - 8.4

The Avengers 3 (2018) is the most acclaimed Marvel movie by IMDb, as it was assigned the highest score of all. It has multiple strengths to make it that remarkable: the introduction of new and interesting characters (such as the main villain, Thanos, and the psychology behind his character), inspirational teamwork of the main superheroes, well-written lines, moving scenes, effects, and action/fighting sequences of the movie. In this film, the world's fate is at stake and no Marvel movie has ever been this important.

Marvel's Worst: Daredevil - 5.3

Affleck's DAREDEVIL

Sadly, Daredevil (2003) didn't turn out that well either, despite the main protagonist's great potential and great stories in comics.

This movie starred some amazing actors, including Ben Affleck (as Matt Murdock) and Jennifer Garner as Elektra; the storytelling might have been the lowest point of the movie. The movie didn't make justice to the main superhero, who looked more like a B-list version of Batman- unlike Netflix's adaption of the superhero The Defenders.

DC's Worst: Green Lantern - 5.5

green lantern movie

Despite the character's potential to bring to cinecomics something new and never seen before, one of the superhero's greatest villains (in comics) as the main antagonist and, being the first Green Lantern movie to be ever made, it escalated too quickly and ended up with Hal winning even though he wasn't ready for such a battle, yet. The movie isn't all bad, as it offers some good scenes and lines; however, better choices could've been made with the storyline and adaption of the main characters.

DC's Best: The Dark Knight - 9.0

The Dark Knight

Part of the well-known and acclaimed Christopher Nolan's trilogy, The Dark Knight has earned immense approval among comic readers, critics, and the rest of the public. With a score of 9 on 10, which is the highest one among both Marvel and DC's movies, this Batman story is a perfect adaption of the comics and the characters. Among all of its strength, the storyline and characterization of the main protagonists, particularly of the infamous Joker (being one of the most liked versions of the Clown Prince Of Crime), stand out the most.
