New Thunderbolts*' post-credits scene suggests, the Fantastic Four will likely arrive on Earth-616 with the news that Doctor Doom has started a plan to take over the multiverse.

On X, Fantastic Four Updates reveals four new images from Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps' promotional material. Each of the four images provides a full look at a Fantastic Four hero and a brief description of their origin, abilities, and personality. The Fantastic Four: First Steps' character descriptions confirm Reed Richards' superhero name is Mister Fantastic in-universe, teases Sue Storm's tendency to "save the planet in other ways", confirms Johnny Storm is a thrill-chaser, and Ben Grimm is the team's pilot. Mister Fantastic's image describes Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards as "the patriarch of the Fantastic Four" and "a scientific genius" who "uses his incredible knowledge to create new technology and study outer space". The image also confirms Reed Richards possesses the ability to "bend, stretch, and extend" his body parts — an ability he displays in a single shot of The Fantastic Four: First Steps' trailers.

Likewise, Vanessa Kirby's Sue Storm is described as "a fierce protector of her family and friends". The Invisible Woman's powers are described as "the superhuman ability to turn invisible" and the ability to "create force fields with her mind". In the image, Sue Storm is shown turning her legs invisible and creating a small force field with her hands.

Joseph Quinn's Johnny Storm is described as "the most popular member of the Fantastic Four." Just like his traditional comic book counterpart, the MCU's Human Torch is known for "his fiery attitude and charming personality." Johnny Storm's fire-manipulating powers are confirmed, but his ability to "absorb explosions into his body" is a rare one that may take special prominence in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Ben Grimm's description is simple but accurate. Ebon Moss-Bachrach's The Thing "can punch through walls, lift cars, and defeat villains" thanks to the super-strength he gains from his body "made of nearly indestructible rock". Ben Grimm's fighter pilot background and kind personality are also confirmed by his character description.
