In new Timeless cover art from superstar artist Alex Ross by Marvel Comics, the greatest villains from the Marvel Universe strike a pose together as they show off their fearsome appearances. In the massive artwork from Ross, which features more than 30 supervillains, some of the most recognizable characters forces as the biggest threats to Earth and beyond come together in what can only be described as an ultimate team-up.The Marvel Universe has some of the most Alex Ross (Fantastic Four: Full Circle) shared his newest Timeless cover art, which features the greatest villains in the Marvel Universe. Done in Ross' signature hyper-realistic style, the massive image is filled with villains fans will immediately recognize. The variant art includes Thanos, Doctor Doom, Mole Man, Emma Frost, M.O.D.O.K., Loki, Black Cat, Hela, and Venom. Ross said in a press release that his ion for Marvel's greatest heroes was easily matched for illustrating villains while adding, "Marvel clearly has some of the greatest concepts in the realm of supervillains as well as heroes."
The Marvel Villain Variant Art Will Be Used For Multiple Covers
Given the sheer size of Ross's incredible piece of art, who has penned and drawn some of comics' greatest stories, the publisher revealed that the villain covers will be used in a new series of variant covers next year. While information wasn't revealed about whether the Marvel Comics covers will be ratio or incentive variants, they will likely be available to anyone at a normal cover price if Ross' previous collaborations are any indication.
The piece really brings out the best in some of Marvel's greatest villains, as Ross' paintings once again set the tone for how great comic book covers can look. For readers looking to pick up the spectacular artwork from Alex Ross, when the Marvel Comics covers will begin coming out in March 2023.
