Marvel and Hasbro have successfully crowdfunded the creation of the biggest Unicron action figure for their Transformers: War for Cybertron line.

Sentinels first appeared in the Marvel Universe as part of the X-Men franchise. Their first appearance was way back in X-Men #14, which came out in 1965 from the classic creative team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They're most commonly depicted as being three stories tall, capable of flight, and programmed to hunt down mutants. The purple behemoths have terrorized mutants throughout their Marvel Comics history and even made their way into cinemas in 2006 thanks to a brief appearance in X-Men: The Last Stand. A few giant-sized Sentinel action figures have been manufactured before, but most top out at 17-inches tall, until now.

A towering 26.3-inch Sentinel figure has been fully crowdfunded over on the Prime Sentinel Figure. You can check out the images below:

In 2006, Hasbro picked up the Marvel license and has been making action figures ever since. The figures are based on a wide variety of Marvel properties from The Avengers and Spider-Man to the X-Men. The Marvel Legends line also manufactures figures based on the movies, video games, and animated series Marvel's produced throughout the years. Hasbro is well-versed in both toymaking and the Marvel Universe, which makes them the perfect company to bring to life the most massive X-Men toy ever made.

While the future of the X-Men franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still unclear, Hasbro's Marvel action figures have shown no sign of slowing down. The Sentinel figure, while entirely crowdfunded, is still available to pre-order until August 24.
