Dominique Thorne returns to the the MCU timeline as part of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but this summer, Marvel Studios is finally getting ready to put the spotlight on Thorne's heroine again, as the Ironheart TV show is arriving on Disney+. The series will explore Riri's life after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever while properly expanding her role in the MCU.

After a very long wait, Marvel Studios has finally released the first Ironheart trailer, featuring new footage of Riri's solo show, and casting a light on the many characters who will be explored throughout the series. Check it out below:

Ironheart, which also stars Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, and Lyric Ross, is set to premiere with the first three episodes on Tuesday, June 24, on Disney+. The MCU TV show comes from head writer Chinaka Hodge, who also executive produced the series alongside Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Ryan Coogler.

What The Ironheart Trailer Reveals

One of the key details that stands out in the trailer is the importance of Anthony Ramos' Marvel villain, The Hood, as the footage sets up how Parker Robbins and Riri end up on a path together throughout the Ironheart story. Ironheart looks set to focus on the conflicts between technology and magic, with The Hood representing the latter while Riri honors the former, as the footage hints at the pair becoming rivals. However, the Ironheart trailer also reveals the dynamics between Riri and several of her allies and friends.

Another key moment that the Ironheart trailer reveals is Riri seemingly creating her AI program, N.A.T.A.L.I.E., from the comics, while also hinting at her upgrades to the Ironheart armor. The Ironheart footage also confirms how Riri is looking to create an "iconic" legacy, rather than using her gifts to serve major tech companies. With a combination of multiple action shots of Riri in her Ironheart armor, as well as the introduction of Alden Ehrenreich's character, the Ironheart trailer reveals a lot about Riri's MCU story for fans to look forward to in June.

From everything that was highlighted in the Ironheart trailer, the MCU TV show looks incredibly promising, as the franchise finally lets Riri have her moment after all these years since her initial introduction. While there are definitely more mysteries being kept about the Ironheart story, the new trailer itself does a solid job of making the show look compelling and leaving one wanting to learn more about the rising heroine. Hopefully, the wait for Ironheart will have been worth it as the show gets closer to its summer premiere on Disney+.
