Aquaman.

Competition between Marvel and DC isn't a topic that either company likes to discuss, but that doesn't stop fans from pitting their properties against each other. This happens all the time where the MCU and the DECU is concerned, with fans celebrating when DC beats Marvel at making the first female-led superhero film, or when Namor the Sub-Mariner was unceremoniously mocked on late night TV.

In Invaders #2, Captain America travels to Atlantis to convince Hydro-Man. Hydro-Man is a Spider-Man villain with the ability to manipulate water in the same way that Sandman controls sand. When Namor arrives, he its to Captain America that he stole Hydro-Man's powers because the power of the water shouldn't belong to a human. How Namor accomplished such a feat is never explained, though it is possible that Atlantean scientists found a way to transfer Hdyro-Man's abilities to Namor.

The extent of Namor's new powers hasn't been shown yet, but Namor is seen summoning a wave of water. This new ability, combined with Namor's existing powers, could make him nearly unbeatable. Unlike Aquaman, Namor rarely fights with his trident, and mostly focuses on his enhanced strength and ability to fly to win his battles. At full strength, Namor can fight evenly with powerhouses like Thor, Hulk, and Hercules, and is much stronger than Aquaman. The main drawback is that Namor's strength comes from the water, which means that as his body dries, his strength is slowly depleted. Being able to control water will take away that disadvantage.

Namor has always been considered one of Marvel's strongest heroes. In a recent issue of The Avengers, Namor was shown to be stronger than ever when he nearly killed Stingray and defeated an entire team of Avengers. Even before receiving this upgrade, it would be reasonable to say that Namor would defeat Aquaman in a fight, but Invaders #2 makes the issue even less debatable. Aquaman may have beaten Namor in the race to get the first movie, but in a physical contest, the victory would go to Marvel's first superhero.
