Although the arcs of some of the original Avengers are now over, there are many other heroes that will continue with their adventures in the MCU’s phase 4. This new wave of films will introduce new characters, reunite viewers with others, and will bring some long-awaited sequels (and one prequel). One of the characteristics of the MCU is how often it releases new films, taking over the film industry with at least one big release each year.

However, the current coronavirus pandemic was a big shake-up to the entertainment industry, with studios delaying the release of most (if not all) of their films scheduled for 2020, and Marvel’s new release dates ended up breaking a lot of traditions.

Marvel has been dominating the superhero genre for a bit over 10 years, and after a brief break in 2009, it has been releasing at least two films every year. The new schedule for the MCU’s phase 4 breaks this by Shang-Chi.

Perhaps the biggest difference with the Infinity Saga is that phase 4 won’t have any major team-up films like The Avengers, though Loki. The MCU’s phase 4 might feel different to the previous ones, but it will surely get back on track once the worldwide coronavirus emergency is over and everything gradually goes back to normal.
