Today is the official launch day for the new team-based hero-shooter, Marvel Rivals, and with it comes a free costume for none other than Tony Stark himself as Iron Man. Marvel Rivals has been deemed the "Overwatch" killer by many since it was revealed, and though only time will tell as to whether that's the case, there are several interesting features that may just solidify that sentiment.
The hero-shooter has already built up a major fan base during its debut, but one neat thank you from the developers at NetEase is not only easy to get but completely free. According to the Marvel Rivals X , the "Armor Model 42" costume for Iron Man is free from Dec 6 until March 5, 2025, meaning there is plenty of time to redeem the code and snag one.
How To Get The Iron Man Suit In Marvel Rivals
It's As Easy As Copying and Pasting
Getting the latest free Iron Man costume, or skin, is simple, as all players need to do is copy and paste the code "nwarh4k3xqy" into the "Bundle Code" section in the settings menu. This will automatically unlock the "Iron Man Model 42" cosmetic for fans to enjoy, and it can be equipped, much like in Overwatch 2, so that it is the default skin chosen when selecting him during matchups.

Marvel Rivals Final Preview: An Avenger-Level Threat For Other Hero Shooters
The final preview before Marvel Rival's launch paints a colorful and varied picture of a thrilling multiplayer experience that may save a tired genre.
For those who want to switch out their cosmetics, heading to the "Heroes" menu, selecting the hero of choice, and locating the "Cosmetics" tab will show every costume that the hero currently has available. As of right now, there appear to only be three to four costumes available per hero, but of course, it is launch day, so there will be more added as time goes on.
Our Take: Marvel Rivals Is Starting Off Strong
The Reviews And Player Counts Don't Lie
Upon launch, Marvel Rivals reached over 300k concurrent players within 30 minutes, which is no miniature feat. Already sporting close to 9,000 reviews at the time of writing, several of the reviews point out the character availability. All the heroes are available to everyone immediately, rather than having to be earned or unlocked through trials. This is something a lot of fans agree should be an industry standard, as well as the currency being swappable with a 1:1 ratio.
As someone who enjoys Overwatch, this was a title I was extremely excited about. While there are some quirks and minor issues that plague players, the game itself is quite fun. There are several heroes to choose from, plenty of cosmetics to aim for, and a few different game modes to enjoy. While it is still early, of course, only time will tell if Marvel Rivals truly is the OW2 killer fans claimed it to be.
