A new update is coming to Marvel Rivals tomorrow, and it may contain more than meets the eye, with a "hidden twist surprise" being teased by developer NetEase Games. Players have been healing allies as Invisible Woman and extending football field-length punches as Mr. Fantastic since the start of Season 1 back in January. The Human Torch and The Thing rounded out the Season 1 cast (and brought all The Fantastic Four together) in a mid-season update. While we await the start of Season 2 in April, there are still some surprises left in store for Season 1.
According to the official patch notes for the update on the Marvel Rivals website, there will be a special April Fools' Easter egg gift added to the Galacta's Cosmic Adventure event, but only players that have obtained all available rewards from the event will be able to claim this mysterious gift. You'll have to be fast, too - the Easter egg can only be claimed from April 1–April 4. March 27's update will go live at 5 a.m. EST/2 a.m. PST and there will not be any server downtime, so players can just update and jump back into the action.
Everything Coming In Tomorrow's Update
A Small Patch Before A Large One
With Season 2 just a few weeks away, expected on April 11, it shouldn't be a surprise that this update is not gameplay-focused but rather bug-fix-focused. Wolverine, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Loki, Magneto, and Human Torch are all getting some bug fixes, and there is also a fix to the console version's occasional messaging feature when opening the chat window.
In addition to some character bug fixes, the patch will address some map issues, like characters getting stuck on certain rocks or clipping into objects. Finally, the glitch on the Hydra Charteris Base map that allowed Rocket Raccoon to revive teammates outside the playable area will be fixed.
What Could This April Fools' Surprise Be?
The Easter Egg Requires A Pretty Hefty Amount Of Playtime
Marvel Rivals has had a surprising number of Black Widow's Mrs. Barnes skin. Players will have until April 11 to claim all the event rewards.

Marvel Rivals Could Make Clone Rumble So Much Better With This Simple Fix
Clone Rumble is best two out of three rounds in Marvel Rivals. This is too long as sometimes it clear who is the better team right away.
There is also a mystery reward on the board that is scheduled to be revealed on March 31. With the update going live tomorrow, March 27, but the new April Fools' Easter egg not being available until April 1 and requiring all previous rewards to be obtained, it is possible the mysterious reward on the board is indeed the Easter egg. Or it could be a different reward altogether. Either way, Marvel Rivals fans won't have to wait much longer for concrete information and more content to stay occupied until Season 2.
