Thanks to one Marvel Rivals fan doing a few calculations, it appears Moon Knight's ultimate ability is bugged. Moon Knight is a Duelist in Rivals, known for his ultimate voice line "The Moon Haunts You", which seems to go off a little too late for some.
Moon Knight's ult became a bit of a meme, as the voice line does not even finish before most players die to the ultimate. Reddit imbalance in matches, and fans share their feelings on the issue within the post.
Moon Knight's Ult Hits Harder Than It's Supposed To In Marvel Rivals
The Moon Does In Fact Haunt You
According to the Reddit post, the ultimate is not doing 75 damage within a 5-meter radius that NetEase claims, it is actually doing 150 damage. The original poster states,
"More specifically with some testing my best guess is each talon is producing 2 AoE fields, one field does 75 damage with a radius of 5 meters as it should, but there is another AoE that also does 75 damage, but has a range closer to 10 meters"
Fans of Rivals took to the comments to discuss their thoughts on this find, as it is beginning to make sense as to why they are dying so quickly to the ultimate. Responsible-Fan-2326 replies, "I always wondered how a supposed 75 managed to shred a tank that fast." Others agree with this, as it seems Moon Knight only gets "THE.." out before several players end up dying to the ultimate. This issue brought up another topic of conversation.
Our Take: Moon Knight's Voice Line Should Start A Bit Before The Ult Goes Off
If Moon Knight Dies As The Ult Goes Off, There Is No Voice Line
Heroes such as Scarlet Witch or Iron Man have a pretty long voice line before the ultimate ability goes off, giving players ample time to strike them down or get out of the way. Moon Knight, however, gives zero time to move, cloak if they are playing Cloak and Dagger, or kill him to stop the ultimate. Sometimes, the ultimate goes off just as Moon Knight dies, meaning there is no voice line, and players can't even hear the ult coming.

"You've Been Lied To": Numbers Show Marvel Rivals Ranked Play Is Not What It Seems
Marvel Rivals data shows that making your way up the ranks is not as simple as some make it seem, and being "stuck" isn't a bad thing.
While players crack jokes about the moon really haunting them, others don't find the issue as funny, as it ruins their chance to avoid the ultimate and knocks them out of a battle they may have won with a little more time to react. Others just thought the ultimate was buffed a bit too much and became overpowered, so it's nice to know that they are not alone thinking they were just getting killed quickly. Since this is a bug in Marvel Rivals and not just Moon Knight being overpowered, hopefully, NetEase will send out a bug fix as soon as possible.
