In a world where Heroes Reborn arc, Peter Parker, the "biggest Hyperion fan in the world" will get into some misadventures trying to get a perfect picture of the overpowered hero.
In the Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness-led Heroes Reborn arc, the Marvel Universe will be nearly unrecognizable from the one readers are used to seeing. In a world without the Avengers, the Squadron Supreme, led by Hyperion, will be the protectors of Earth. They're set to battle a number of remixed villains including Doctor Juggernaut, tThor is a hard-drinking Athiest, Iron Man never built his armor or was trapped in a cave, and the entire nation of Wakanda is a myth. The only person who realizes the universe is completely changed is Blade.
Heroes Reborn: The Amazing Shutterbug by Marc Bernardin and Rafael De Lattore will feature Peter Parker following his favorite hero Hyperion. Instead of being a wall-crawler, he's just a reporter at the Daily Bugle, however, he will get a chance to meet with his idol. But, the preview for the one-shot suggests that something will go wrong as tries to get a snapshot during the heart of the action. The cover by Mike McKone shows Peter wide-eyed as the Squadron Supreme fly by the Daily Bugle offices.
The Amazing Shutterburg is a fascinating concept that will effectively make Peter Parker the Jimmy Olsen of his universe. Considering how the Squadron Supreme (a pastiche of DC's Justice League) is now the Earth's most powerful and trusted heroes, it's pretty natural for Peter to fall into that role. Will he be a useful friend for Hyperion or will he get in the way of his favorite hero's adventures trying to get a perfect shot?
While the Heroes Reborn universe won't last forever, it's quite bold of Marvel to present these heroes in all-new and different ways. Peter Parker is almost always portrayed as a hero himself, so to see him just as an excited photographer who follows Hyperion around will create plenty of new avenues to take the character - especially in a Heroes Reborn universe that is so much different. The Amazing Shutterbug #1 is in stores in May 2021.
