One of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains that have made a massive splash outside comics is Venom: Let There Be Carnage will continue the franchise in 2021, should the release date stick.
But beyond his cinematic achievements, Venom has lived in various forms in the media. From multiple animated appearances to regularly appearing in video games, the Spider-Man foe has his fandom. But just like with any fictional character, fans always manage to find some hilarious elements to a character that gets turned into fan-art and memes.
Venom’s Messy Cinematic Journey
Before the ongoing franchise, Venom didn't have the greatest arrival in the world of cinema. With Spider-Man 3, the iconic villain made his debut at last, but not with success. For a film that was already packed with storylines and two more villains, the symbiote should have never been part of it.
That's most likely why fans got the Venom that they got as it was a poor decision altogether to bring him in. But thankfully, that iteration didn't make it out alive at the end of Spider-Man 3.
The Day Venom s The MCU
Given that Venom is exclusively a Sony franchise, it's hard to determine if he will ever take on Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU. But stranger things have happened in the superhero genre so anything is possible.
However, if that day ever comes where Hardy's Venom makes it into the MCU, Peter better be prepared. Aunt May should probably just do herself a favor and be on standby to get Peter the heck out of New York.
Smile Of A Symbiote
There is a lot to be intimidated by with Venom from a visual standpoint. Take away the fact that it's a living black symbiote that can take over anyone it wants, its form is horrifying. If Venom ever smiles at you with that infamous grin, it's no longer safe. However, this following meme, odd as it may be, would definitely be possible. For reasons that some may never understand, Venom's smile can be attractive to certain individuals.
Venom Began Kevin Feige’s Meme Career
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has accomplished a lot since launching the MCU. However, one thing that the busy producer hadn't dived into was the meme world. That all changed because of Venom and one specific Sony producer: Amy Pascal.
After an interview where Pascal and Feige were asked about the Spider-Man spinoffs and their ties into the MCU, Pascal proceeded to say that they're in the same world. But it's Feige's reaction that blew the Internet away as Pascal was clearly rambling about something he wasn't entirely in agreement with.
One True Venom
The moment the world got glimpses of Hardy's Venom in the solo-film, it was the beginning of forgetting the disaster that was Spider-Man 3's incarnation, played by Topher Grace. In a scenario where Peter would face both versions, it would actually make sense if he was less afraid of Grace's iteration. But if he is glaring into the new Venom, Peter's heart would beat faster than it ever has.
The Truth Lucius Fox Had For Venom
Despite the success Venom had with the first installment, there was a lot of opposing voices at this film being done the way it was. Many argue that the villain is impossible without Spider-Man in the picture.
Nevertheless, it'd have been quite something if Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox had walked up to Sony and given his two cents. It'd have been even funnier as he'd have actually been wrong.
What Spider-Man 3’s Venom Actually Needed
What caused Venom in Spider-Man 3 to be the disaster that it was is an endlessly complicated situation. The sole idea that he wasn't even supposed to be in it initially is where the first warning sign should have been detected. To introduce a beloved enemy like that in a rushed setting is a disaster waiting to happen. But looking within the story, maybe Venom just needed a Snickers to be able to live up to his name.
Sony: Home Of Venom
While Spider-Man has been shared between Marvel Studios and Sony, the Spidey spinoffs are in one world only. If the character had a way to speak his mind, it'd have been funny to see what Peter Parker would say about the situation. But polling a break-up with Sony would be even more humorous because of Peter's jealousy at Venom getting all the spotlight.
Never Let Venom Prank-Call
So far, fans of Venom have only seen him mostly in rage mode which brings the symbiote out. While he demonstrated a witty side throughout the movie, it'd be hysterical to see him do everyday life things. The concept of just seeing him prank calling people without actually doing anything is extremely cruel, but also hilarious. Imagine Venom pulling out a phone book and picking a number at random to prank with. It's absurd, but something that would get a whole theater laughing for a long time.
How Infinity War Could Have Ended
Avengers: Infinity War pulled all the heartstrings as the film ended with the heroes defeated after Thanos did the unforgettable snap. Despite Venom being in its own world, the symbiote may have actually been the most effective and quickest way to defeat Thanos. As seen in his own film, Venom doesn't hold back and since he has a thing for heads, this would have been perfect.
Imagine if Venom had just decapitated Thanos before the snap happened. Not only would it have been a victory for the heroes, but also an early breakfast for Venom.
