Marvel’s Avengers is giving away free character skins inspired by the MCU, including Iron Man’s suitcase armor from Iron Man 2. Developer Crystal Dynamics has been releasing a steady stream of new content for Marvel’s Avengers, such as new playable characters and alternate outfits. These unlockable Marvel’s Avengers skins are typically available to purchase through the in-game shop, and take inspiration from many of the different looks Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have taken in the comics and films.
Given how successful the MCU has been over the past decade, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that many of Marvel’s Avengers’ alternate skins have been taken from the silver screen. Some of the most recent MCU costumes to come to Marvel’s Avengers include Captain America’s stealthy battle gear from Captain America: The Winter Solider, Mighty Thor’s majestic armor from this year’s Thor: Love and Thunder, and even Iron Man wielding the Infinity Stones as he did in the climax of Avengers: Endgame. Usually, Marvel’s Avengers players have to pay real-world money or in-game Credits to play as their favorite MCU heroes, but now some of these cinematic costumes are being offered completely free for the rest of the month.

Marvel’s Avengers Players Get Free MCU Skins For Rest Of September
Free costumes aren’t the only exciting new developments surrounding Marvel’s Avengers, as a new Villain Sector featuring the sinister Monica Rappaccini just went live a few days ago. Crystal Dynamics also announced that the Winter Soldier is the next playable hero for Marvel’s Avengers as part of a larger update. Marvel’s Avengers has been criticized in the past for its live-service model and perceived pay-to-win microtransactions, but new content like this continues to keep players invested - even as the game’s future is up in the air following Embracer Group’s buyout of Crystal Dynamics earlier this year.
In the meantime, Marvel’s Avengers players will get the chance to suit up as their favorite heroes from the MCU’s earlier days for free, provided they to the game anytime between now and October 1. Outfits like Iron Man’s Suitcase Armor from Iron Man 2 were highly influential toward modern Marvel adaptations like Marvel’s Avengers, so playing through the game in this portable suit is a fun novelty for fans - especially since it won’t cost a thing for the rest of the month.
