With Marvel's Midnight Suns getting a video game adaptation, some of Marvel's most powerful characters put together to defeat the mother of demons, Lilith. The game roster consists of well-known characters, such as Wolverine, Iron Man, and Blade, and pairs them with characters that don't share the same popularity as Magic and Nico.

Redditors made it clear what characters would fit in the tactical RPG adaptation. The options vary as these fans look at both the comic's original and other characters that would best suit the strategical style of the role-playing game.

Cloak

This version of the Midnight Suns consists of multiple that make up other popular Marvel factions (including X-Men, Avengers, and the Runaways just to name a few. The Cloak is a character that specializes in teams as he works with Dagger on a daily occasion. Cloak's powers of teleportation and looks make him a natural fit to have him on the team as an ally.

Since the game will put a spotlight on younger hero characters, it wouldn't be surprising if Redditor KasukeSadiki's "favorite hero" is involved. Not only would it allow fans to see his character grow more popular but it also gives everyone the opportunity to see how well he would work in a team.

Scarlet Witch

Powerful magic s within Marvel can't be talked about without bringing up Scarlet Witch. Her powers, at times, exceeds the Sorcerer Supreme's magic. With the game consisting of multiple magic s, it would be a missed opportunity to not put her in the game. Having her in the game will allow players to become her best friend and a powerful ally.

It is more than just her magic as she does have allies already confirmed within the game (such as "Wolverine and Captain America," as pointed out by Linnus42). This Redditor points out the ups saying, "She is a magic character, Avenger, Mutant (most of the time) and Popular so a good pick." Putting her in the game as a mutant and Avenger can add more to her character within the game. Having her against an enemy as threatening as Lilith is a sure way to victory.

Spider-Man (Miles Morales)

Peter Parker's Spider-Man appears in almost all forms of Marvel Media. Having Miles Morales' Spider-Man would be a welcome change of pace that could help keep the game fresh. Peter Parker is the one that gets the most attention but there are plenty of other Spider-Men that have more powers than him. Miles Morales's comedic personality would be a welcome addition to a game feel with a serious, tough personality.

His move sets would be easy to include in the game (as Redditor BuildingBones states when praising Miles' "cool deck with invisibility + electrical powers"). That's not even including the potential on cards given to use his web powers. Individual powers along with team powers can allow the creators to be imaginative with what he can do with his webs.

Moon Knight

Who would be more qualified to defeat a demon than a mercenary that works for a Moon God? He may be a character that would insult his partners, but his fighting skills and brutality are what's needed to fight demons. Moon Knight, along with his powerful personality, makes him useful in all situations.

JoshTheBard sees Moon Knight as being a shoo-in. "Moon Knight is getting a Disney+ show in 2022 so it would make sense to add him into the game." This Redditor figures if Moon Knight isn't in the original launch, then he could be used as DLC. Saying that the game would be perfect to use as a "cross-promotion" with "the live-action version." With rising popularity, an appearance would be understandable and appreciated.

Elsa Bloodstone

Else Bloodstone is slowly growing in popularity, appearing in more comics and games throughout the last couple of years. It came as a letdown to many that Elsa wasn't one of the first to be announced for the game, with Redditor AsterBTT expressing their disappointment after "finding out how damn cool she is" and stating that "it's kind of a missed opportunity."

With the game taking in lesser-known characters from other groups, such as New Mutants and Runaways, it would be nice to take in someone who was briefly in the Fearless Defenders. Seen as anti-Captain America, it would be interesting to see how the two would interact with each other. Already once a Midnight Sun member within the comics, it adds more fuel to the fire on why she should be put within the game.

Morbius

With this being a reboot of sorts of a previous existing comic, many fans are hoping that more of the original team will be included. The game includes view that previously existed in the comics. Blade and Ghost Rider are the only original team within the game, with the exception that this is Robbie Reyes' Ghost Rider, who was never a part of the team. With Morbius being an original member and getting a movie soon, his inclusion would be much appreciated as it would pay respects to the comics.

Redditor Pixelated_Piracy is one of many that believes that the game needs more original , stating how they "wish this was the original Midnight Sons (Not Suns) or at least included them" and how "even Morbius the Living Vampire was on the team". By putting the focus on who is in the game, the players are beginning to believe that it is more of an Avengers game than it is Midnight Suns.

Thor

Thor with lightning around him in Marvel Comics

Despite being the self-proclaimed "strongest avenger," Thor is surprisingly missing from the game. With magic being a strong focus in the game, it's funny that, out of all the Avengers confirmed, he is not one. Going for characters, such as Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Wolverine seems a bit out of place. It intends to not put focus on Asgardian magic as it does for Earth magic. Not having him in the game wouldn't be the worst thing that has happened to Thor, but it would be a missed opportunity.

As Redditor Revarius argues, "Thor is more suited for taking on magical threats because of his vast skillsets." He would be a natural fit for the card-playing mechanics as his move sets would involve his use of thunder and Mjolnir. Not involving him in the game is for characters that don't have any relationship with magic seems questionable.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye is a character whose skills seem handmade for a tactical RPG game. His bow and arrow are a great tool to have when in battle. He can serve as a character that deals long-distance damage. This will allow the player to be smart with him as they decide if they want to use the trick arrows with the given environment.

Redditor CapablePerformance has already planned out just how the character should be used in combat. "Hawkeye's basic arrows can go [x] distance and deal [y] damage but if you use it enough, the distance and damage increase while allowing you to learn trick shots and different arrow types." As the game allows the players to pick teams of three, this would make Hawkeye a fantastic range character that any player would want on the team. Having him as a ranged character would give the game more variety in character types that can be played.
