With such a diverse lineup of characters for players to interact with, It was only natural for players to start identifying themselves with their squates. Based on their Zodiac sign, fans of the series can figure out which one of Mass Effect's sidekicks they would most closely line up with.

Aries — Garrus Vakarian

Mass Effect_ What Garrus' Life Was Before Shepard

Aries are free thinkers who like to take risks and take life by the horns. They are natural leaders who always want to take charge and be the first one heading into any adventure. Their defining traits are bravery, ion, and organizational skills, just like Garrus, the famed Turian sniper and best companion in the game.

From his first introduction in Mass Effect 1, Garrus proves himself to be one of the bravest and most capable sidekicks in the entire franchise. His ion for justice and thirst for adventure make him the archetypal Aries. If you are an Aries, you can't do better than the Archangel himself and don't worry, there will always be something to calibrate.

Taurus — Mordin Solus

Mordin Solus in Mass Effect

Tauruses are the most practical of all the Zodiac signs. They find it easy to stay grounded and realistic and like to see everything through to its completion. This doesn't mean that they are boring though, as a Taurus can also be the most loyal and reliable person you know.

If this sounds familiar, then you may just be Mordin Solus, the very model of a scientist Salarian. Mordin is always on the move, solving problems and bringing reliable pragmatism to the team. Just like a Taurus, he also reveals that the has a ion for art and beauty, even being a talented singer himself. He may be a little odd, but that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Gemini — Peebee

Peebee in Mass Effect Andromeda, an Asari with a black, paint-like streak across her eyes.

Mass Effect Andromeda may have been incredibly disappointing at its 2017 release, but it does have some genuinely good characters. Peebee, the team's resident scientist, is one of these. Peebee is a lot to take in at first, she is snarky, quick-witted, and endlessly inquisitive about the new galaxy she has found herself in.

Like most Gemini, Peebee has two sides, one that is highly social and carefree, and a much more serious and personal side that players must work to find. Peebee is always looking for the next challenge and mystery and is the stereotypical but lovable Gemini through it all.

Cancer — Ashley Williams

Speaking to Ashley Williams in Mass Effect

Ashley may be another squate that can be hard to figure out at first, but she becomes a fantastic character as players get to know her. Just like a Cancer, Ashley is driven by her emotions and her intuitions. She may be a little rough around the edges, but she is a loyal companion and is always willing to pick a fight with the most dangerous of enemies if she knows it is justified.

Ashley is also a very sensitive soul and is very attached to her family and the team. She may seem intolerant at first, but it is only her defense mechanism against the suffering her family had faced. Any Cancer would be right at home with Ashley Williams.

Leo — Jaal Ama Darav

Jaal Ama Darav from Mass Effect Andromeda

Leos are often the center of attention, and justifiably so. Leos are often charismatic, very confident in who they are, and have a definite sense of drama. They are happy to work through difficult situations and have a knack for bringing people together.

While numerous companions could have fit, Andromeda's Jaal is the clear fit for any Leo. A reserved but fascinating alien, Jaal quickly became a fan favorite and is easily one of the best romance options in the game. Just like Leo, Jaal is a natural leader with a powerful faith and a strong sense of self-awareness. Cocky but able to back it up, Jaal is the definite Leo of the team.

Virgo — Tali'Zorah vas Normandy

Tali the Quarian from Mass Effect

The Normandy's lovable Quarian crewmate is the textbook example of a Virgo. Like many Virgos, Tali is hard-working, practical, and likes to keep everything in order as much as possible. Tali is incredibly kind to almost everyone, but her shyness often gets in the way of her truly expressing herself.

As Virgos often are, Tali is often misunderstood and can be far too concerned with the opinions of others over her own. Tali is always at work aboard the Normandy, in her comfort zone working on the engine or her research. Tali hates asking for help but is always there to offer it when needed. If you're a Virgo, Tali is your match.

Libra — Jacob Taylor

Jacob Taylor is ready for the mission in Mass Effect 2

Jacob may not be the most popular companion from the immaculate Mass Effect 2, but that doesn't mean he is not a good person or teammate. Like Jacob, Libras are usually very social people right at home in a group of like-minded peers. Like Jacob proves throughout the game, they have a very strong sense of justice and will pursue it over anything else.

Libras prefer balance most of all, but in doing so can sometimes fall into indecisiveness or limit themselves. Similar to most Libras, Jacob is at his best when surrounded by people with similar personalities, and if you're a Libra, that might be you.

Scorpio — Samara

Mass Effect 2 Samara Smiles

Scorpios are the definition of drive and ion above all. They are unflinchingly focused on their goals and will dedicate themselves entirely to completing them once they have started. Scorpios are brave, resourceful, and powerful, just like the Asari justicar Samara.

Entirely driven to uphold the code of justice, Samara will let nothing stand in her way as she carries out her mission. She is endlessly devoted to the code, but she is also a strong ally and close friend of Commander Shepard's. She is reluctant to open up at first, but her calm demeanor and understanding of the universe make her a perfect fit for Scorpio.

Sagittarius — Liara T'Soni

Liara tilting her head in Mass Effect 3

Present in all three games in the original trilogy, Liara has become one of the faces of the franchise. A young scientist, Liara is a perfect example of the enthusiasm, optimism, and curiosity that defines Sagittarius. Liara has the trademark Sagittarius sense of adventure, wanting to learn and experience everything she can about the universe.

Liara may be incredibly blunt at times, with very little filter, but she makes up for it with her open mind and straightforward intentions. Freedom, philosophy, and intelligence are some of the most important things to Liara, making her a clear fit for a Sagittarius.

Capricorn — Miranda Lawson

Miranda Lawson Mass Effect

Capricorns are typically very serious people with a strong sense of independence and responsibility. They are very grounded and traditional with a devotion to self-control. Who else could fit this definition than Miranda Lawson? A high-ranking member of Cerberus, Miranda is a very reserved and pragmatic figure.

Her distrust of others and stubbornness sometimes make her appear cold and short-tempered, but once players get past her aggressive exterior Miranda is a hard worker and a natural leader. She is very devoted to her job and her family and is dedicated to fixing problems as best as she can. Every Capricorn may not be genetically designed to be perfect, but they are Miranda Lawson.

Aquarius — Jack

Jack uses her biotics to defend Grissom Academy in Mass Effect 3

Aquarius's are known for being wholly and unquestionably unique. Aquarius's enjoy the company of others and like to be themselves, but sometimes find it hard to show their true personalities. They may not show it, but they are very sensitive and thoughtful people at their core.

Former convict Jack may not seem like it at first, but once she shows her true colors it is clear that she is an Aquarius through and through. Jack is unapologetically herself but is hesitant to show all of who that is. Like most Aquarius, she likes time alone with herself but also needs to be stimulated or she may lose interest. Jack may not be the most conventional Aquarius, but she is a clear fit for the sign.

Pisces — Thane Krios

Mass-Effect-Legendary-Edition-Thane

One of the series' best characters and easily one of Shepard's best romance options, Thane Krios is a perfect match for any Pisces. Wise, comionate, and sensitive, Thane is the assassin with a heart of gold. Like most Pisces, Thane is a gentle spirit who will go out of his way to help others, even at the cost of himself. He is a loyal friend and teammate who will never let his squad down.

He is very spiritual, with very strong emotions and very close ties with the past. In true Pisces fashion Thane has an innate intuition about the universe and those who live in it. Reserved but charming, Thane is a Pisces through and through.
