One of the biggest reasons that players have loved tough choices that the game forces its players to make. Not only that though but these decisions also tend to come back to haunt the player one way or another by shaping the way that the series overall story would play out. The first Mass Effect had some very difficult choices for its players to make.
One of the harder situations that the player is thrown into early on in the first game is when they are trying to save the townspeople of Zhu's Hope on Feros. The problem is that in order to get a true Paragon success in this mission the player must save all 16 colonists, which can prove tricky when they are all being controlled by a hostile plant being called the Thorian. This guide shows players how to save all sixteen colonists on Feros.
Mass Effect: How to Save All 16 Colonists on Feros
After defending the colony from an attack from the Geth and seeing the Baynham's reunite, the player can then talk to the two to discover more about the Thorian. This will grant the player access to the Anti-Thorian grenades that can be equipped from the equipment screen. The player can then toss these grenades at any Thorian-controlled person that they see to take them down non-lethally. The player will need to use these grenades on all sixteen of the colonists in order to complete the mission entirely. The player will also need to inform their crew during a dialogue section not to shoot any colonists to ensure that no one accidentally gets killed. It should also be ed that any of the grey Creepers can be killed, but players should make sure that no innocents get caught up in the crossfire.
One thing to keep in mind though is that the player can run out of grenades before they are able to save all of the colonists. If this happens they will need to switch to melee attacking them to bring them down without killing them. The player should keep an eye on the counter on the bottom right-hand side of the screen that keeps track of the number of colonists. If the number goes down at all then the player will want to reload their save and try again.
Mass Effect can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
