The Mass Effect Game Awards trailer featured the premise of a Mass Effect sequel itself already seems interesting enough for fans to be on board, the news of the developers from the previous games only made it even better.
After the teaser, the project director of Mass Effect, Michael Gamble, tweeted out that multiple developers from the original game would be returning to the series to work on the latest sequel. He brought up Dusty Everman, who will come back as the Principal Narrative Designer, after leaving the studio back in 2015. Gamble also talked about Parrish Ley returning, as well as Brenon Holmes. Derek Watts, a Technical Design Director, will also be returning to work on the Mass Effect sequel, likely to tie in the most recent sequel and Andromeda into the next game. There is no release date set yet, but with these people behind the wheel, Mass Effect fans have good reason to look forward to it.
Mass Effect was originally a trilogy, with the first game releasing back in 2007. The sequel to that came out in 2010, and the third one in 2012. excited to hear about another sequel to the original trilogy and with the original directors back on board.
There’s no hint as to what the true story is going to be about or where exactly it might take place, whether that be in the Andromeda galaxy or somewhere else. But there’s no doubt that the game, whenever it does come out or wherever it takes place, that Mass Effect fans will be waiting with bated breath to play.
