Special clothing items will be coming to Mass Effect N7 Day celebrations. Every November 7, Mass Effect celebrates its fans and history, often using the event as an opportunity to make announcements about the series and offer freebies to players. While The Sims 4 often receives small doses of free content from developers in the form of Sims Delivery Express drops, collaborations with other games are much rarer.

A new The Sims 4 - which recently became free for all new players. From the picture shown of the new items, it appears players will receive two N7 shirts, two N7 hats, and an N7 tattoo when the update hits The Sims 4 on November 17. The N7 event will include real-life items as well, featuring collaborations with Bioware Gear, Sanshee, Dark Horse, and Volante to release new Mass Effect-themed merchandise and collectibles.

Mass Effect developers also want to celebrate the future of the series on N7 Day by giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the franchise. The blog post details that while the next Mass Effect game isn't in full development yet, the predevelopment stage is going well, and gives insight from team working on the project through a series of small interviews. Fans can also expect to see lots of art on N7 Day, as developers will be releasing new concept art from the Mass Effect title, and there will also be "fan art commissions on social media," although it's unclear just yet what that entails. Of course, there will be the annual Mass Effect M7 Day 2022 video shared online as well.

This collaboration between The Sims 4 and Mass Effect is unexpected but certainly not unwelcome. It's interesting to imagine the Mass Effect fandom existing within the Sims universe, and it's a fun way for players to express their love for the series in-game by turning their Sims into Mass Effect fans as well. While Sims 4 Delivery Express drops add CAS items occasionally, it's usually only one or two items, and they certainly aren't themed around other franchises when they do occur.

N7 Day is always a fun celebration for Mass Effect players, and now fans of a second series can get on board with the fun as well. It's nice to see that the team behind the next Mass Effect game is so optimistic and excited about the game's predevelopment stage, which hopefully means the final product will be something players can really look forward to. Sadly, the next Mass Effect game is still many years away, but this Sims 4 collaboration is a great way to celebrate the series in the meantime.
