Galitzine’s Unusual Rise to Stardom Explained

Masters Of The Universe Will Introduce Galitzine To A Mainstream Audience

Galitzine has had one of the most surprisingly explosive careers in recent years. Prior to 2022, he was essentially an unknown entity. Then, he was cast in Purple Hearts, a Netflix film that eventually took off and gained success. This started a mini-boom for Galitzine, who went on to play Jeff in the raunchy teen comedy Bottoms in 2023. 2023 also saw the continuation of his successful streaming film career when he starred as one of the leads in Prime Video’s Red, White, and Royal Blue.

Prime Video then cast Galitzine in The Idea of You, an age gap romance starring Galitzine opposite Anne Hathaway. With this role added to his filmography, the actor has been even further deemed a streaming star, as very few of his films have been released in theaters. In fact, Galitzine has been in very few films overall, so Masters of the Universe is a great opportunity for him. Unlike his other movies, Amazon actively has plans to release the film theatrically on June 5, 2026.
